So I did some quick checking and these are the posts of I was concerned about.
"Quite a few people have been warned for complaining or saying negative things about that member. They do seem to get special treatment imo."
This looks like a straw or whatever fallacy, because I'm 100% certain that complaining is not the reason people have been warned. As for "negative things", that's very subjective and I'm sure that things like "kill yourself" or certain digs that a certain banned user made that are still present and haven't been removed yet give some indication of the actual reasons why people have received warnings for their interactions with FC - there is stuff like calling FC a special star and taunting her that SaSu is her job, and given its from someone who hated FC the tone is very clear. And these are the posts that have been left up, so any posts that were removed and anything that happened in private must be worse than that if they got actioned. As for special treatment, that's a very bold statement to make and I do not think its fair for reasons I may have posted elsewhere. I've seen it bandied around that people were warned/banned for critiquing FC and that is not the case, they clearly did more than that, people do not get banned for merely critiquing. If that were the case, a lot more people would have %warnings and bans than is actually the case. As you yourself currently sit at 0% I think you can testify that you have not been banned or %warned for disagreeing openly with or about FC in some cases, respectfully polite or not .
"I just think people should be allowed to comment on their postings without fear of warnings."
Again, seems like a strawman because people can absolutely comment on FC's postings without fear of warnings. Just being polite and non-malicious ~ even breaking etiquette on her vent threads, just don't be surprised if she gets upset then like any other sane, rational human being - in those cases you are subjected to the same risk as if you went on anyone else's vent threads and started invalidating them. People tend to downplay what they actually did in hindsight, and there is a good saying here "If you feel like you're doing something wrong, you probably are.".
"I've never seen anyone else one this site get the same kind of treatment that the mods give that member, but it may also be that no one else on this site makes over 16,000 similarly worded posts with such a controversial and divisive theme."
Again, that's a bold statement to make and I disagree with that. I think biases can blind you, and the mods have a lot more information and can see things like this more exactly. Sure biases can exist but just because there was some crackdown on harassment doesn't mean FC is getting treatment another user wouldn't. It means things were working as they should be. I don't think FC's post count has anything to do with it because there are people on both sides with high post counts. As for 16K similarly worded posts etc, I've talked about that at length. I tried to show with one of my threads that most of FC's posts are not divisive at all, at least in my eyes and I feel that was successful. Take note that FC posts don't aggravate me though. Some people get aggravated by X person's posts and some by Y person's posts and it goes on, and for the most part people use the ignore button and just scroll on.
This is a discussion forum. People are allowed to disagree with her.
Disagree, sure. A consistent barrage of insults, lies, etc, no. Whether that gets actioned or not, its still very bad form. It's just making drama on the forum and making things worse for everyone. People shouldn't even have to read this back and forth.
Are you the forum detective? LOL
I am just careful not to make wrong accusations, and that everything has a source that I can find in the forum posts. Making a mistake would pull down a lot of time & work and I don't intend to make things easy for others. This isn't the only thing I'm doing, I'm also looking in some other threads and in some private convos.
