Angus Barbieri was the 382 days guy. Was a while back.
All of mine were no supplements at all. Just water. His involved vitamins. On average in my fasts, I usually lost about 15kg, 5 of which came back within a week (water and glycogen stores). In regards to drinking the water, the correct technique to stay alive is to drink at least 3L per day, preferably 4, slowly across the day. No downing a glass all at once. That's what flushes electrolytes. I can't speak to what happens if you supplement with electrolytes and vitamins as I didn't do that, but I assume it means you could drink faster.
Of course if the goal is death by starvation all of these provisos are less relevant.
