Venting Stalker

ive been getting stalked almost 3 years by a guy who sexually assaulted me. I finally got the police to help me out as i got proof of him threatening to kill me multiple times but all they did was put a 6 month prosecution period in place where if he harasses me in any way he'll be arrested. For the first time i havent been harassed daily but it ends in 2 months and im just so paranoid i know its gonna go back to how it was im scared to go back to work and just generally leaving the house and this was my one bit of security i cant sleep anymore because i just remember the 14th march is gonna ruin me.

im not sure yet theyve been kinda rude and take ages to reply so i havent tried to push it yet with them i will try tomorrow but they did mention i didnt have much evidence of the stalking and assault all i have is a video from the night of him being creepy to me before it happened, some screenshots of him threatening to kill me and some proof of him finding my friends (one who lives on the other side of the country) and threatening them and a fee other things like him trying to contact me online but most of what happened was in person so im not sure if its possible but ill definitely try

I'm so sorry friend. I would try to look into getting it extended like what the other commenter said. Keep gathering evidence. I hope it ends for you soon. :(

police are shit with stalking, they do nothing much helpful. There are websites which list what you can do, but again, its difficult - varying routines, social media privacy all that.

I would carry protection, the most you're legally allowed, and be prepared to use it. If you're in a state where you can concealed carry, do that, get training etc.

If he hasn't stalked you while the protection order is on that's a good sign. So you may just have to try to get your own head right.

Sorry you're going through this. Stalkers are fucking scum
