An Instagram reel talking about the benefits of going back to go forward popped up a few days ago
It honestly made me smile watching it and reflect
Since I've come to see how toxic things are at home, I beat myself up for having gone back home years ago. How I didn't listen to people who told me my dad would never change/doesn't care (I don't know if I still entirely agree with that sentiment/maybe it's the trauma talking) but, maybe I needed to see how bad things truly were again to move on
And now I am going to college this September away from everyone
I'll still be in close proximity so if I ever need a home cooked meal or some assistance that will be present
But I'll be away and be able to focus on me again. Just worried about dealing with roomate conflict
