My brain is pretty negative - i.e. it has learned be realistic based on how my life has turned out. Very rarely do I have moments of positivity.
Sometimes, when I am thinking about something bad that happened in my life, my brain will say, as a way of trying to help me cope with the sheer awfulness of my life: "Maybe that thing thing had to happen for something good to happen afterwards?". Within a split-second, the reasoning part of my brain kicks in and asks: "OK so where is the good thing that was supposed to happen after? And did the bad thing for happen for a good thing to happen after? So many people have whichever good thing you THINK is on its way without the bad thing happening first. Also, I must reiterate: Where is the fucking good thing?"
As you can see: My brain is a hot mess. It and me need to disappear.
