Many of us here understand that being excluded and left to rot alone is one of the most painful feelings out there. Social rejection has been shown to "hurt" in the same way as physical pain: link . Virtue-signaling pro-life beliefs can help people feel accepted and valued by pro-lifers.
2) Argument ad nauseam. When you repeat the same arguments and slogans, people will eventually come to believe them. If you repeat "suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem," "don't do it," "it gets better," "think about your family," "talk to me," "call the suicide hotline," over and over again, eventually it'll start to have some hold on you, whether you like it or not.
