Damn, sorry to hear it affects you so much. I hate myself (my mind, etc) more than I could ever hate my body although I do hate my body too. I'm just over it though.
I don't know if I would say that I necessarily hate my body. It's moreso that my body is just wrong. It's functional, and there's technically nothing objectively wrong with it, but it's wrong.

That makes sense. Mine is too. So is my brain.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I doubt he will even care. If he's not on the clock getting paid he'll probably just delete it or give you a short mugged off reply.

Well, if you've taken the time to read the post you'll know it's not the case. He does actually care.

For the OP, good luck with the operation, I hope it'll go fast and well!

From one feline to another, I appreciate the thought. Thank you.

I understand that many people here have had very awful experiences with the mental health system, and I can empathize with that, but I would prefer if you didn't project the problems that you've had onto someone you've never met. I've been clear in this thread that my psychiatrist has helped me while off the clock many times.

It's rude to say that you doubt that someone will care when you have no way of gauging that.

You have a rare find in the physiatrist then.

The ones I have met didn't care one bit. All evidence suggests the vast majority are not bothered so long as the money rolls in.

People who say they are no in it for the money or the majority are caring have no experience of the poor state of mental health care here in the UK.

I'm from the US, but I've heard bad things from my favorite person about how healthcare in general is in the UK. He has a tendency to refer to the NHS as the "no help service". I don't really have a frame of reference since I don't live there, so I'm just going based off of what he says.
