I think I ordered my SN literally 2 days before the website was disappeared forever. It was literally being investigated while it was on the way to me. I thought it would be stopped. Especially since it says SN on the package. Luckily the package arrived.

So all the sites that sell SN will be shut down. We're the last "generation" that was able to get SN. Just like N got phased out, so too will SN.

This forum feels more skewed female. I don't know if I am just imagining that. Women have suicidal ideation more than men. Men suicide more and use brutaler methods. As any chart will show you.

I feel like SN gave men the option of a less brutal method than the one they would have picked, and gave women the ability to turn the ideation into actual steps. But now that SN is over for any newcomers, are we going to see men go back to more brutal methods and women just depressed and hanging around? The big difference between r/suicidewatch and this forum is that many here are actually suicidal. r/sw felt like a place to go to vent because you are down. This place was because you had plans or wanted to make some.

I was procrastinating on buying SN for a long time. I am glad I acted when I did.

I wonder if hanging and inert gas will be the new status quo now.

Yeah it seems like the era of SN might be at it's end. Properly stored SN will last years for those that managed to obtain it, but I don't see it being easy to obtain going forward.

I imagine people that want a peaceful death will try to obtain inert gas before it becomes the next target. Those without the resources or ability to carry out inert gas will be left with the more brutal options, or more risky illegal options like F.

It's devastating that they're going so far to restrict yet another method people use to exit this world peacefully. I guess some time in the future I'm going to have to try a brutal method like jumping, but I'm certainly not looking forward to it. I just wish it wasn't so difficult and horrendous to die in this terrible world.

Yeah I'm wondering what the new 'go to' is going to be. I'm so pissed off that I didn't find this forum like a month earlier, then I could've gotten SN. I would've used it straight away, I'm desperate to leave asap and I can't keep stuff around with family snooping. I came at the worse possible time.

Inert gas isn't really any option for me. My family check all parcels as they know about my mental health issues. No way I could hide that set up. Not sure if PO box would work, going to look into whether they would handle that kind of parcel.

Leaves me with the brutal methods. Just not sure I have the guts to fight SI. I'm not scared of the pain, like i don't care about going peacefully, i deserve the pain tbh. But very scared of ending up brain damaged or with serious life changing physical injuries.

I feel like this forum makes SN seem a lot more popular than it is in the grand scheme, this forum is just one part of the bigger picture and though it's true that SN has been getting more and more used over the years, most suicides are still done through other (more brutal) methods, just not really by the demographic of SS it seems.

I don't know if SN will ever be gone for good since contrary to N it has other actual uses. The availability to consumers has been cracked down on a lot over the past few years. If KL gets a bad sentencing, which seems likely with how big of a deal they're making out of it, it could scare of potential vendors for sure. I think it'll be a lot harder to get but not impossible

I imagine it will continue to be such, but going forward it will likely receive a special classification and a series of control mechanisms that will prove to be a serious pain in the ass for industrial users.

Methods like hanging and jumping really scare me personally, but I do admire the courage of those who go for the more risky and terrifying methods. I just despise how suicide is getting more and more difficult as time goes on but this is sadly just the way that things are and I know that it will only get worse, I'm very tired of feeling trapped here.

I'm probably going to go with hanging myself in a couple of months. 37F and the ideation has finally passed over into a more finalized plan. SN seemed unreliable to me and I can't afford any other method right now, but inert gas would probably be my mine choice if I could get that.

If anyone wants, I can make a video/tutorial on making NaNO2 (Sodium Nitrite) from NaNO3 (Sodium Nitrate) and Pb (Lead) by oxidizing the lead.

NaNO3 + Pb -> NaNO2 + PbO

It's really damn easy compared to the other stuff I've done, and although you do need some equipment, they're easy to get and relatively inexpensive.

Some edits:
It's looking easier to oxidize aluminum, since aluminum is much easier to get than lead, and we can make sure lead poisoning doesn't happen.

NaNO3 + Al -> NaNO2 + AlO

Sources and Vendors that sell SN will have to make the sodium nitrite concentration very low so it will be unusable for CTB. Some of them are already doing it that sell for preservative purposes.

I'd be interested to learn about more niche methods I've seen tho, like GBH(?) or however it's spelled. I'm sure there are other ways we can figure out, we just backed ourselves into a corner by getting too comfortable with SN as a reliable source.

I've started my path for recovery, but truth be told, I feel kinda regretful for not getting SN when I had the chance, just in case recovery doesn't work out for me (SN lasts for several years, hence why I was thinking of getting it). It really is awful that some people may have no choice but to resort to the more brutal methods because of this.

Yeah, it's hard to fully ban anything in the US, I mean, some states are even starting to legalize stuff like LSD. I guess the only thing really bannable in the US is little chocolate eggs with toys inside

tl;dr

SN is becoming a popular suicide method and the world is catching on and making SN increasingly more difficult to get. IC was taken down because of the SN crackdown and the man who ran it is in serious trouble and anyone who bought SN from IC seems to be getting police visits.

I luckily got another method available for myself (jumping), but I am still so sad that another method got taken away from us. This is horrible, people deserve to ctb in peace and with the method they desire to.

It's not silly or stupid, I get it. I actually had to research IC because I'm new enough that when I came, they were already shut down.

Anyway, it seems actually that Europe Is having more of an impact than the United States, simply because Europe is stricter when it comes to things like toxic chemicals etc… as for the police themselves, Those in the United States seem to be experiencing more aggression.

It's been widely debated as to if SN will be totally outlawed or not, but the popular opinion seems to be that it will become pretty much impossible to get anywhere eventually unless you own a business but still may be slightly easier to get in the United States, just because it's such a commonly used chemical and the United States government is pretty lazy that they won't completely be able to regulate it like Europe would.

US still has CCS. If you're in Europe, probably time to look at suppliers from Poland or Turkey. If you're in UK, chances are you won't be receiving your SN either way. There's a low chance it will clear customs.

Even the equivalent of my country of ebay that had like 900 units stopped selling them from one day to another, when I messaged them they told me they hand't received them in months and don't know when or if they're gonna get more. The cunts.
