Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Hi, I wanted to know if there was any alternative to benzos for the SN method. Benzos seems to be really difficult to get where I live, especially the prescription part, and I would have loved to have something efficient enough to have more or less the same effects.
i would loveeee to know the answer to this as well! Planning on SN, but I also can't seem to easily source benzos due to the prescription issue. Does anyone have any advice for replacing benzos with a different sort of sleep aid, like nyquil or something to have one get sleepy? Or would that counteract the SN?
I think you're right. I don't think it's absolutely essential. But for me it's more about the anxiety reduction + getting sleepy so I don't really think about the discomfort. I fear that my anxiety / panic will allow SI to take over and ruin my effort. The benzo is supposed to help suppress some of the panic. However, they are really hard to find without a prescription. Any alternative for anxiety reduction would be so helpful!

often people don't use benzos, so it turns out they are not so necessary, sometimes even just sn and still succeed, so I think you can do without them. I bought anti-ametic and painkillers, I think that's enough

For how difficult it is to get prescription benzos, majority did not use them and still ctb, some made just use of what they had and that was it. Although, I'd never ever take just SN.
I don't need to go to a dealer. We have bars/shops where they sell marijuana, but they all have large menu's so it would be good to kind of know what I'm looking for.
I'll do some more research. I think the shop around the corner has a pretty good reputation, so I could also just ask them for advice.

It seems there are many successes without sedatives and many failures with: https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/sn-successful-and-unsuccessful-cases-2023-update.120854/ That being said, can anyone comment on how essential or helpful they are with SN protocols? Vizzy seems to have...

PPH talks about losing consciousness in ~15 minutes but that might be with propranolol
I thought I understood the SN method but the more serious I get, the more doubts I have.
I'd love to know the best way to avoid nasty symptoms or even more clarity on what to expect.
Chabot describes how Coöperatie Laatste Wil (Dutch organization) advises 3 things to counteract the (negative) side-effects of SN & SA:
- a fast working med to sleep (like benzos);
- antiemetic, something against vomiting;
- meds against headache.
He then states that Coöperatie provides no proof these will even help. And there's a catch concerning the sleep medication: if you take it too late chances are you will consciousnessly suffer the side effects, such as:
- dizziness caused by fast dropping blood pressure so the brain won't receive enough blood;
- headache caused by a shortage of oxygen in the brain and/or acute decrease of blood pressure;
- nausea and/or vomiting;
- restlessness, muscle weakness and muscle cramps;
- epileptic ceasure caused by the shortage of oxygen in the brain.
Note: There is an antidote for SN (if taken within the hour), but there is no antidote for SA, you will die.
Edit: The book describes the same effects for SN and SA, but as @verrobasd pointed out: there is antidote for SN, not for SA. (Corrected this in my message.)
Anywhere between 40 minutes and 4 hours depending on your health and natural metabolism. There is no way to give an individual person a time of death from consumption. When discovered, your skin will have changed colour to a grey or blue due to the cyanosis. Because of the wide time frame that death can be reached, it is vital that you factor this in your plan so you do not get found and saved.

Pregabalin increases GABA which will calm you. Not es effectively as benzos though. They are only included for calming the anxiety and making it less unpleasant. They won't make you pass out faster as they don't affect oxygen delivery. If you can't access benzos you can try sleeping pills, even oct antihistamine based ones can help a bit. Just filling your stomach with booze is a no because it can increase nausea.
I have a subscription. It's the Dutch version, but I should be able to access the English one (if I find out how). Problem is that it's not in PDF format. Screenshots are possible, but it's 662 pages and without video.
The screenshots can be made with Irfanview, but ATM I don't even have the strength to read large parts of the PPHe, let alone make 662 screenshots.
What format is it exactly? Usually any kind of "reader" has a print option and you can print it to a PDF. But I understand when you r not able to do it rn bc of lack of energy / mh stuff and all that. No prob!!! But anyway it'd be sth for the community. :-)

You have to login at a website and then a page viewer opens. I'm guessing it's in Java. Save as PDF may be possible (but you still loose all the video), but I think Irfanview will be faster.
