  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Hello. I am worried about the safety of my two cats with the SN method. They will probably not be left here with me for too long, but they eat each other's vomit so I do not trust them to not eat poison. I am considering either not making the back-up drink or just keeping the materials needed there--the SN in a closed bag, a spoon, the water in a cup. But even then--and I do not know if this is reasonable or not--what if the cats eat me after I die, and ingest the poison that is in my blood?

How long do you expect it will be before someone finds you?

Can you lock them out of your room?

Is it possible to ask someone else to watch them and make up an excuse, like you have to go somewhere out of town for a couple days and/or are having your home fumigated so the cats can't stay there while you're gone..?

You don't say what is "not too long"? I would agree with @LastFlowers that the safest idea would be to ctb in another room with the door closed so that your cats could not get in. Maybe you want to ctb with your cats around for comfort, and I understand that, but it's not the safest idea to have your materials around where they might get into it after you ctb. And I think not having a back-up drink made would be detrimental for your success, at least, potentially.
