Method slitting my throat

recently I've spent about 3 weeks in a psych ward after a failed attempt and while there I thought about alternative methods for when I don't have access to either of my preferred methods (hanging or train track decapitation) and since I'm not at risk of cutting myself I still have full access to knives and razor blades so I wanted to ask about the success rate and what to look out for when attempting to slit your throat.

while trying to find out more I only found discussions and statistics about bleeding out from cutting whilst I'm more interested in possible suffocation?

Every time I go on this site I see increasingly crazy ways people suggest to CTB. Today alone I've seen "makeshift gun", "drug induced drowning", "anvil to pull myself off a balcony".

Cutting your own throat is gruesome, very difficult psychologically, and will scar you in a way that's impossible to hide when you (almost certainly) survive the attempt. Avoid cutting yourself. Success rate has got to be in single digits.

Don't you know how awful that is?! You'll suffocate in your own blood and if you're found and discovered you could lose your voicebox entirely leaving you with a permanent breathing machine to breathe and live... no dude think things through don't rush

I've tried it many times during my lowest moments and it's a terribly hard method to pull off. Your natural reflexes won't allow you to properly slit due to how painful it will be. Even if you press down hard with the knife, your body won't allow you to press down hard enough.

Would not recommend. It's very difficult to cut deep enough.
