Figured out how to tie a knot for the anchor point. I have the hanging knot page, so I've been trying to pull up videos to make knots for the noose. I'm just really bad at them. I have a double braided polyester rope and it's stiff and hard to move around, so the knots seem harder than they actually are. I don't know how to get better at tying knots with this rope. Does anyone have experience? My slip knot kept coming undone so I just started shaking the rope around. I always ask my sister for help but I can't ask her to tie my own noose lol. I have to stop myself from complaining and taking a picture of me surrounded by rope on the floor since it'll make people worried about me instead of think I'm silly.

It is hard, especially when you're in a difficult state of mind. Polyester ropes can vary a lot it seems. I had one that was quite stiff and ended up upgrading to a softer one that is much easier to tie

should i get a different one? i'm still in the return window. i just kind of hate this rope rn lol. i haven't wanted to practice with it because it's stiff and also 50 ft so it's super long when i uncoil it

I'm terrible at knots. Can't tie them, can't untie them.

I have a double-braided nylon rope, and it's much easier to work with than what you seem to be describing. Just tied a noose like this, super easily:

If it would be easy enough to return, and there are easier ropes to use, why not return it?

Might be for the best, i think it might not work well if it's too stiff. Mine is long too but i just cut it with scissors and used tape to keep it from unravelling at the cut end
