  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Of course it should be. I see non existence as being preferable to any kind of life. What is the benefit to forcing people to suffer in a world that they never asked to be in. I see suffering as being something negative and something to be avoided so suicide should definitely be respected as an option for everyone. Nobody has any right to gatekeep suicide and say that it's only acceptable for those of a certain age/experiencing a certain amount of suffering. To die solves all problems after all.

yes, we didn't have the choice to be a part of this world, we should at least have the choice to leave it.

Suicide is and has always been a human right, it's just that people's minds are either clogged with religion or something else.
I consider suicide a part of natural nature.
The fact that suicide is sometimes committed through an internal struggle with oneself does not mean that suicide is unnatural.
Because naturalness in the nature of this world does not always imply comfort and lightness
These are just my thoughts, I do not insist on their unconditional correctness

Suicide is selfish. You are just trying to run from all your problems and transfer your pain on to other people that never ask for it and don't deserve it. BE A REAL MAN!! WOOOO! REAL MAN DON'T BACK OUT!!

Yes. If you do not have sovereignty over your own body, then you have no freedom at all. You do not owe your life to anyone. The right to die is maybe the most basic right.

The idea that suicide is wrong is ridiculous. Depriving your king of a subject or your nation of a soldier is not sufficient cause to trap a person in life.

If we didn't choose to be born, we should at least choose when we exit. If suicide were treated as a human right, we'd have more humane ways of doing it.

Problems are a meaningless and pathetic part of life. It's just that we're not sadists, and you think you're cool because you, as a sadist, adore pain, or you don't feel it so much.
Fight, fight, fight all your life, and then die anyway. The motto of this terrible planet

Ouch... I really didn't think about sarcasm when reading your message. It's just that there are a lot of people who really think the way you wrote.
I'm sorry that I wrote you this answer in vain:(
It seems my sense of humor is getting worse...
It's okay <3 I should have mentioned I was being sarcastic.

If I could find something that would fix my mental illness I'd live. I've given up on trying to find anything now since nothing has worked. I'm no longer trying to get better because of losing any and all motivation and I'm pretty set on ctbing now. It definitely should be a right so I'm not having to get a hotel room to kill my self in.

If only. I flinch from accepting that this is realityβ€”that humans are so cruel to each other and so sanctimonious while doing so. And yet it is.

Absolutely, methods should be accessible as in some countries, with safeguards in place to avoid forcing anyone to do so.

People treat having kids as being a human right and as if that's something everyone should be allowed to have, so I find it ironic and sad that we cannot make suicide into a human right as well.

It shouldn't even need to be discussed ever.

The fact that there are many people who are suicidal shows a failure of society as a whole.

You obviously can't sense the sarcasm in the comment.
It's the Internet, I also thought you were being serious until halfway through. And unfortunately some people do think like that. I'll admit that they're not entirely wrong that if someone commits suicide they can spread a lot of suffering to others, but it's still more selfish to keep a suicidal person around just because you don't want to lose them.
