Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Essentially should I write down my plans and my reasoning as well as any research I do or should I just keep all that information in my head and my bookmarks?

I personally think that sounds like a really good idea to mentally process your thoughts. It might even give you a change of heart, as writing things down can often make things scream out at you. Or it might fortify your position.

I personally wouldn't include research, but that is down to you.

I think it's up to you deciding what to write, only you can really decide as it's a personal decision. But anyway best wishes.

It's up to you if you want to write a journal.

I wrote suicide notes, both a generic "Why I did it" one and more specific ones addressed to friends and family.

On the one hand, it delayed my CTB because I'm a perfectionist and I am spending so much time editing them.

On the other hand, the fact that I have messages prepared is one thing off my CTB checklist so I feel more prepared to do it.

I recommend writing your suicide note(s). You might get the same effect and it might help you commit to it if you decide you want to, instead of delaying it with "well I can't CTB yet if I haven't written a note."
