Barely studied for psych stats exam and burnt out, should I walk out the exam?

20M, taking summer classes before my 4th year of uni. I'm going to be taking this in a couple hours and need to know whether or not I should even waste my professor's time answering the questions the way she wants me to answer them because … I don't know how. Conceptually, I understand hypothesis testing and the order or operations but executing it is something entirely different that I always seem to blank on. This is my 4th(or third) time taking the class trying to get a better grade to bump my GPA.

I've been working 40 hours a week, getting home at 2am, and having no energy to study when I wake up or come back home. My mental health has already been pretty shit since the end of my first year of uni and I've been trying to quit smoking weed but have been unsuccessful as juggling responsibilities of paying debt (some of it not even bejng mine) and the pressure of performing well to be able to help the single parent household I grew up in is starting to get to me. I was doing so well leading up to university but then I just started losing my motivation to keep pushing forward. I have medication and support so I feel like even more of a piece of shit even failing this badly in the first place and I don't want sympathy from anyone if I'm in the wrong but what I do wanna know is if it's too late for me to bounce back from this? I really don't want to give up but right now, I feel like my head is going to explode from pressure that should feel minuscule to any other person and it makes me feel like I'm not ready to integrate myself into society if I can't even pass the classes I need to graduate the first time.

Also note: counselling/therapy feels pointless for myself at this moment as I'm aware of my problems and have talked about them but I was always end up fizzing out when starting back up strong on making the effort.

I don't know what I need to hear right now, if someone can relate or tell me how much of an idiot I am, I don't know anymore. Any response is appreciated at this point

I personally think this is pretty relatable.
I also have not walked out, but simply not went to one of my final exams, I was choosing if I wanted to actually try the exam, or know I will fail and do it without thinking much, but knowing that someone would read such exam and see it's grades made me too a stupid decision of just not going.
I've been working 30hours a week because I now in the near future, I will not get mostly to none financial help from my parents, one of them I will probably have to help them myself. I've done some therapy years ago, I know my problems but I think talking to people is great already
also I have accepted that I simply cannot pass certain classes, which means changing the subject completely, it's pretty bad, but it's not like I will magically get better.

I would say, go to the exam and have in your head that you're not really trying. maybe even have a word with the teacher into something like "I know I severely underperformed on this exam, please let me excuse myself in advance."

Because at the end of the day it's all in your head, even if you go out of the exam room or not. (I personally am not allowed to leave the chair gif the exam already started, so I did not want to make a scene for the others, but that already depends how much you can control yourself emotionally.)

it's a remote exam so I'm writing it at another college in a test centre so I just feel like writing down my lack of ability in application, apologizing and leaving it at that. Whether I try or not, I know I'm going to do shit and it's my fault. And it hurts even more cus I feel like I'm trying as hard as I can but I should be able to do more, to handle more, to BE better than what I am right now but it just feels really fucking difficult.

It's alright. You know I now relate more to what people call hippies than whoever is working their soul off for nothing and barely surviving, losing their sanity over the years.

We can probably show off much more of what we're capable of, but it will probably not be here, or now. And if we can't, then the choice is ours of continuous suffering or barely hanging wishing for a better timeline

Just got out of the exam… yea I wasn't passing that shit even if I did write something down😂😂 i would die with guilt if I didn't at least push through university for my family so I guess I'll try again and do what I need to do. I need to only be smoking on the weekends but I fucking hate life T_T

(just got back from work)
I feel the same for any action, iv'e been a clean boy for years, not arguing, not drinking or smoking, only thinking about school friends and helping my parents with work... Only for now, just wanting silence, far away of anything, probably smoking and drinking to relax after work. I only don't do it by the burden and guilt I have towards myself if my family saw me.

You're so close to the end. Is this the final exam? It may be your 3rd or 4th attempt and honestly that's okay. Make another attempt and just finish out that final exam. Whether you pass or fail it, it's gonna be 100% a fail if you walk out.

Working and college is brutal, man. I get it. It's not too late, I promise. If you are serious about this degree, then it's never too late. You're doing way more than all your peers are doing. Do you think they're busting their ass working 40 hours a week? I bet not. You're doing what you can, which is already 10x more than others are doing right now

Yeah it was the final midterm. This class has two midterms and an assignment. No other work. I struggle with math classes like this because there's no other way to show my work aside from the midterms T_T I appreciate your kind words but idek if doing what I can is enough. I'll still keep trying until it's my time but I feel so useless and stupid rn

You got this! Honestly, the way that it's structured is really brutal?? There is absolutely no wiggle room with points or assignments, that's crazy. You're not stupid, I promise. See if you can ask the professor for pointers. Say, hey man. About the 3rd time I've seen you, I really am passionate about the class, are there any pointers or chance for extra credit? The extra credit might really help because your entire grade depending on 3 assignments is 🥲
