Discussion Should I do it at home?

Hi guys. I have SN and I keep thinking about where to do it. I tried to attempt in a hotel with SN but I couldn't go through with it. It just devoid and cold. Uncomfortable. So I thought about doing it at home. I was going to do it in the bathroom next to my room upstairs. But then I thought about how hard it would be for my body to be carried down since I'm not light. Also now thinking about my parent finding me. I know if they found me it will be traumatic for them. I live with them. I would do it in a time frame when they are not in the house. My mom works night shift and my dad is usually in his shop past midnight. But now I'm rethinking it again as to here to do it. Should I do it outside even tho there is snow? I just don't know. Maybe I should do it in the bathroom and just cover my head with a towel? Idk.
For those of you who have SN, where do you plan to ctb? At home? Outside? Hotel?
If you live at home with your family and plan to ctb in the bathroom (cuz of toilet to puke) how do you feel about your family finding you? I need others thoughts on this. I'm really considering to just fuck it and do it in the bathroom. But I'm also trying to think about how they would feel finding me.

I live alone, so I will be doing it at home. I will be sending the authorities a delayed message set about 6 hours later to notify that there's a deceased body and for someone who is hopefully familiar with dead people to, well, remove my body.

My family will be traumatised but hopefully the authorities deal with this stuff all the time.

I want to take the SN, lie down, and finally sleep with a smile that I don't have to do life anymore. Unfortunately if I do it in the bathroom, it will be difficult to make my way back to my bedroom. I know it is highly likely I will throw up so I will use a vomit bag/container (ie next to my bed)

I live at home with my parents and that's the sole reason I'm not able to attempt ctb. They are likely to find out anything that i attempt to do..
In either ways (home or hotel) , it will be traumatic for your family. See if you can find something that gives you peace fast so that in case you are found at home, medical help doesn't helps

I'll be alone for a good 6 hours. I'm just worried about where to do it. I want to do it at home in the bathroom cuz it's most comfortable. But I also don't like the thought of them finding me

In the USA, realtors are required by law to inform possible buyers of a death (including suicide) in the home w/in a certain time period. I would want my family to be able to sell my condo w/out that disclosure or risk that nobody would buy the place so I will do it outside my condo. so if you live in the USA w/parents and think your parents would want to sell the house to get away from memories and have a new start, then maybe do it outside the home so they don't have to disclose.

check the real estate laws in your state about disclosure. i'd go for a hotel because airBNBs are usually owned by indiv. folks and it would upset them too and they would have to disclose.

I have the same problem. I know going to a hotel will be really hard for me. But I can't do it here, because I dont wanna traumatise my love ones. Honestly, it's causing me so much depression. I would have already killed myself if this wasn't a problem.

I feel like it's of a hassle for the people u care about if you don't do it at home.

I don't have the heart to tell my family so I'm telling my friends who I can trust with everything TBH. They will tell my mom. They will do the right thing. I wish I was alive so I didn't have to burden them.

i am planning to CTB this sunday night with SN and i'm just doing it at home. i planned it so when they find me in the morning only one person will be home, it's really unfortunate but it's my only option. i think you have to do whatever you need to do if it feels right and/or necessary. whatever your future may bring, i hope you may finally find peace <3

Oh wow, that resolves a longstanding mystery for me.

When I bought a cabin in Alaska for college, the realtor told us the owner had built it with his son, but then the son committed suicide. I always wondered why they would have told us about the suicide when it's so disturbing and obviously might scare off the buyer. So I just looked up the disclosure law for Alaska, and they are indeed required to report any known suicides or murders within the last year.

It's funny because I had been seriously contemplating suicide myself right before I bought the cabin, but I never thought that much about the fact I was living in the home of someone who had just killed themselves months earlier. I just liked the cabin and I wasn't going to let that get in my way of enjoying it.

It was a dry cabin, but it had a water tank and rudimentary plumbing for cooking and washing dishes. It was in Fairbanks, so the temperature routinely went down to -40 F to -50 F. Having to use the outhouse in such temperatures was quite an adventure, especially when a moose would wander by. We saw the aurora frequently, that was one of the most magical things about Fairbanks.
