I think I can get a shotgum and I prefer this to SN because its instant.

While not many things can technically "guarantee" death, a shotgun comes pretty damn close. I would probably put it in your mouth and aim toward the brain stem though, rather than the temple. It'd be far easier than trying to angle it at the side of your head, and destroying the brainstem is also far more effective for CTB.

There have been people who blow their jaws off but survive, and even some who just take it straight to the head and still survive.

Although maybe that's just with one of those handguns, idk I've never seen a shotgun.

If I remember correctly, there is a famous gore where a man is sitting on a couch, points a shotgun to the side of his head and pulls the trigger. Instantly vaporizes the top of his head.

Point more to the center of your head I guess?

Put the gun in your mouth and fire upwards towards the roof of your head or diagonal to the back of your head above your cerebellum. That's what I am planning on doing if I get a gun. I will do it in my bathtub to minimize the mess.
