This is a poem I just wrote
Fine on the outside
But dying inside
The body survives
But the mind, it dies
Strolling through life
Your hand on the knife
You could make the cut
And get out of this rut
But you have to stay
And fight each day
Your family need you
Friends and colleagues too
But they never knew
You felt so blue
Would they really care
If you weren't there?
Fine on the outside
But dying inside
The body survives
But the mind, it dies
Stumbling through life
Right next to the knife
You're gonna end it soon
You'll be over the moon
The blood starts to pour
It trickles to the floor
Your head feels light
As you give up the fight
But someone sees
Grabs you off of your knees
Rushes you to the er
So all you've done is make a scar
You wake up completely numb
Damn! You thought it was done
But now you're just weak
And everything is bleak
You were fine on the outside
But you're dead inside
Your body survived
But your mind, it died
