As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.
Haven't painted anything in awhile, and ive had this 'krackle' paint collecting dust so just screwed around with this idea and a concept around "golden state of mind" / "your mind is the gold mine" i dunno tried painting the skull with a palette knife...didn't turn out well lol

Indeed we are! But that is what helps us improve, contrary to what others say. If we see flaws, or criticize our own work, it's a surefire sign we can do better. Of course, our best work no longer becomes our best.
Thanks! It's the first time I've ever tried that shading technique. Time consuming, but worth it in the end.
Sorry for spam lol. I LOVE photography, especially macro. Some pics from my travels, Venice, Hamburg, America and some locally. Photography is one thing that whenever I have some energy for life, I want to go and do.
I've not posted on this thread before, but it's time I came out. Yes, I am a rock painter! I hope this doesn't negatively effect the way you look at me
Life Cried - "I'm Sick" "Wrong, wrong, screaming, dreaming This time I'm falling, bleeding"
Black Tongue - "Parting Soliloquy" "And I hope to god the next passage on the waiting raft is mine
Please, don't leave me here Between life and death and time
Please, don't leave me here"

Well it's pretty hard for me to paint and draw happy things...Art helps me to express my emotions and prevents me a little from self harm.
The left is inspired from Junji Ito's Tomie and what is the other drawing inspired from? Great art also! I envy the artists on here... It makes me a little jealous that I don't have the skills to do it.

Yeah my painting looks similar to the one from Junji Ito but I never thought about that. The picture describes how I feel when I'm overthinking. I close my eyes, there are too many voices and bad memories in my head. It's just a mess. I can't think straight. I'm fading away and in the end I feel empty. I painted the 2nd picture when I was in psychiatry. It's made out of red wool, structure paste and acrylic paint. I always have the feeling that everyone is watching me even when I'm alone. It's like it would be a part of me. That's why I wanted to create a flesh kind of look. I was inspired by the paintings of the swedish artist "Kim Jakobsson". He's a genius. Everyone can paint. Just try it. When I paint I don't think about it too much. Just let your hands do the job. Listen to great music that will express your feelings. When I paint I mostly have the impulse that wants to break out like anger or fear. And the important thing is: Don't compare your art with others even if it's not that easy. It will take some time. Francisco de Goyas art and story is also really inspiring. He was criticised for his dark paintings because he was different and he saw what was really going wrong in the society.
I love this thread. You talented bunch! I'm no pro at all but I think it's cool to draw whatever comes to mind or to copy stuff regardless of skill. I do quite like my skull though.
