• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

there is a cliff near my house, maybe 40/50 feet down (not straight down, lots of rocks, branches, foliage) im wondering what would happen if I jumped.

my intention is not necessarily to die, though that would be nice, I just want to get scraped up, break a couple bones ect.

does anyone have any insight on this?

Worst case scenario you die because you land/hit a hard rock on the back of your head, or you internally decapitate yourself and survive but become paralysed, best case scenario, there is so much vegetation you just do end up with scrapes and some breaks.

It's not really easy to tell esp when 40/50 feet at a slope can mean a lot of things. You might clench up while falling and make it harder for yourself, or you will grab foliage to keep yourself alive because SI. You know yourself best!

I wouldn't do it. Why do you not want to SH in other ways?

I've been cutting since I was 10, it's been a constant addiction in my life. I've tried other methods, burning, partial hanging, hitting myself with a hammer ect. I think that i just need something more.

Fair enough! I understand. I started self-harming from the age of 13-ish, a bit older. For me, nothing beats cutting, apart from overdosing but that gets boring real quick. Not related to this thread, but I was told by a therapist that there is no coping mechanism that hits quite like cutting which is a shame really. But yeah, thought it would resonate with you lmao.

Good luck and stay safe (as safe as realisticically possible) ^^

I think I saw a Kieram Litchfield video with some helpful techniques to satisfy that urge, but I don't remember it.

Anyways, (In my opinion) you shouldn't SH unless practicing for CTB. It can reduce your quality of life, cost you your freedom and independence if it goes wrong. Most of us are here because our lives are shit- so I wouldn't advise making it worse unless planning to CTB soon. It's much harder to take your life in a wheelchair, or while monitored due to mental health concerns.
