If you have all of the planning and prep done to CTB is there any point in setting a date that is over a month away? My life is crap anyway (mental illness and all), if it was good enough that I could actually enjoy a last month on this earth I wouldn't be committing.
So I guess I'm wondering what the point is in suffering any longer than I have to. I get that some people might do it to not make a rash decision but realistically I'm too far gone and not going to change my mind. Or do people set a date to familiarise themselves with the idea of their own death so that they fear it less? Are there any other reasons? I would appreciate it if anyone who has set a date that's quite far in the future could share why they chose to do so.
