• Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Take me back to the night we met

My biological mother died when she was 31.

When I was 24, this old man stopped me on my way to work. I'd seen him around before, but we'd never spoken. He didn't seem crazy or anything.. just a regular old guy. But then he told me he was a medium. He said he knew my mother had died when I was little. I had never told a soul since moving abroad that I was adopted, let alone that my biological mother was gone.

And then he said something that stuck with me: I wouldn't outlive her.

At the time, I laughed it off. I was young, healthy, full of life, no issues… why would I believe some random guy? But the thought lingered in the back of my mind.

Then I hit 30, and everything changed. A bad breakup wrecked me, and out of nowhere, my mental health just collapsed. I turned 31 not long ago.. the same age my mother was when she died…. and for the first time, I believe that old man was right.

I don't know what to believe… was it really destiny, pure coincidence or some sort of self fulfilled prophecy?

The statement that he made was a broad one that could apply to a lot of people. It just so happens that he lucked out and found someone who that statement applied to. Along with that, if he has seen you around before then there is a chance that he might have been able to observe and pick up little clues that may have hinted at your mother having died when you were younger, ones that you weren't aware of and don't remember dropping.

Well hopefully you'll die in your sleep soon. I wish I could expect that for myself as well.

As well meaning as psychics/ mediums may be, they can do a whole lot of damage too. My Nana seemed gifted like that. She used to read people's palms. She told my God Mother that a bad life changing event would happen when she reached 60. Naturally, the poor thing was terrified. She probably thought she would lose her spouse. It came and went with nothing happening in the end.

But sure, I think we can pretty much will bad things to happen when we convince ourselves that they will.
