Curious about Meto, Meclizine and Domperidone. I'm going to use one of these and I'm worried about the tardive dyskinesia and other symptoms. Is domperidone easy to find without prescription? I see Metpamid on a major auction site, coming from Turkey, anyone try this source? I know meclizine is seldom used, anyone have opinions about its effectiveness? Like to make the best choice, I want to do it right the first time. Thanks
I think I just found a source for domperidone. I don't hear about it too often on SS, makes me wonder if there is something wrong with it. It sounds like it has lower side effects compared to meto, but remains a good antiemetic.
Both domperidone and metoclopramide should do their job. Both are dopamine antagonist so they work in similar way and both speed up gastric emptying.
The difference is that domperidone doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier so it doesn't cause EPS. As an anti-emetic, that doesn't concern us as the chemoreceptor trigger zone is outside of B-B barrier.
I think domperidone might be the way to go over meto. Any opinions?
