Scared of hanging because ive done everything else wrong

Ive been looking into this method for quite a while Ive seen videos online where a person goes unconcious within seconds but then i see a video like this



so if i do it wrong i could be in agony for twenty minutes! There are so many varibles with hanging under the apple over the apple but basically you have to restrict the carotid arteries to cut off blood to the brain so why were these prison guards in agony for twenty minutes? I think falling from a great height is the only real release SN seems ok but you cant drink alcohol and i dont want to be sick for hours beforehand. Americans dont know how lucky they are just go and buy a gun It would be great if someone could send a message from the afterlife - bloody dont do it that way it was a nightmare this is what you need to do..... Anyway i know im getting closer i cant take the continuous regret thoughts of a wasted my life because someone abused me as a child what i could have been all the ridiculous decisions ive made because i drink too much So just recently ive heard of the charcoal method big in Taiwan for some raeson i think that would be good

Well. I don't want to encourage you at all, but you can find results like this for any suicide method. I don't want to look it up but I bet that people survived trying to kill themselves with guns too, even shotguns for that matter probably. To me that's the scary thing about suicide, it feels almost like a lottery.

This could be a nightmare. I'm having trouble finding the spot to faint and I think this stuff could happen to anyone who doesn't manage to get fainted.

This video is bullshit, there are only photos of the executions, no videos that could by used as an evidence.
There are hundreds of hanging videos, executions in Iran, suicide, non lethal erotic hanging and they all show that the protagonists pass out within 5 to 15 seconds. I also know it from my own experience.

Good thanks for that i thought it was bullcrap how could anyone remain conscious with that much pressure so still looking into that but need to find good anker but im still going to look into charcoal because im a coward and hanging has always been scary to me Ive only recently heard about this method so i thought sitting in my car with a few charcoal one time use grills i bought in a supermarket could be an easy way to go Would that do it or do i need to buy actual coals and a grill?

Not trying to sway you either way but I've watched so many videos and the vast majority of fsh do not struggle. Some do but then typically it's not a standard rope, knot is off to the side, etc.
This doesn't make SI go away. There's still going to be a period of time that it hurts. It's odd that the brain will choose daily pain much longer than 15 seconds though.

Yes, I think humans don't function by logic. We are just set up to try to avoid death, but still decay and die and only once we are already decaying and quite old we partly lose the fear of death.
There was a thread in the method section with different videos from people dieing from hanging and most passed out within seconds. Once somebody posted a link to a study that analysed videotaped deaths by hanging (auto-erotic accidents and suicides) and all people fell unconscious within 8 to 25 seconds. Those who had died by auto-erotic accidents tended to stay conscious for longer so it is discussed that people can get used to the oxygen deprivation in the brain in a way that makes them stay conscious for longer.
