communication with d was different from that with a.
D gave his btc wallet address, but didn't answer the rest of my questions.
How can we now keep trusting the info in PPH?

By doing your own research dubble check everything and just see who is for real.

@LucyJordan
You did the right thing in asking about Domingo in this thread.
The fact that the PPH said they have poor info on him, along with the fact that he didn't respond to your questions other than tell you where to send him money, raises two very bright red flags.

Thanks. I think this is very important for people who aren't familiar with the internet - mostly older members. I have a very easy time spotting scams because I grew up with the internet, I understand that this is difficult for other people. I think the best advice is common sense. Also, always double and triple check emails. There are fake emails about A and B, and a lot of people seem to fall for it.
Scam artist is probably one of the oldest "professions" around. The internet has been around for a while, so have older people. Just my two cents, but I think it's ageist to assume older people are more likely to be scammed. You could argue the same for younger people, because they lack "life experience" or whatever, same ageist bs imho. Having internet access since birth =/= being scam savvy or even being internet savvy.

I don't mean to offend you. Just felt this was something that needed to be said. I'm neither particularly young nor old btw.

No, don't worry. I get your point. You're right, my post probably came across a little bit ageist, the way I expressed myself. I didn't mean to generalize and I should have used my words more wisely. Like, I just meant to say that young people are more likely to understand how the internet works, of course that doesn't mean it's a general rule. For example, when I compare my way of browsing the internet with the way my mother does it, I notice a big difference, because of the lack of experience on her part. She is 50 years old and I often have to assist her when she navigates around the internet and especially when she makes purchases. Like, my mother doesn't question anything in the internet. When she reads something, she believes it. She just skips the skepticism and straight up believes that everyone has good intentions. So she would often buy stuff from very shady websites that looked like scam to me, but not to her - so in many instances, I was the only person that prevented her from getting scammed because I know how scammers work and I also know how they try to convince people that they're legit. She on the other hand doesn't really know how the internet works and that literally anyone can use it for selfish and exploitative intentions.

People say to check with other forum members but even then, it has to be the right forum members. I was told by two members (one no longer active and one who said they successfult got N) that D was the correct person so it is a good job I did not go for it. I used the emails that were in the PPH , also but was confused to why the guy was calling himself Domingo and not A. So I asked around and that is what I was told. I honestly give up.

I'm 71 years old and I believe everything I read on the internet.

As a matter of fact, I was personally contacted the other day by a Nigerian prince who is holding fifty million dollars for me.

If I wasn't a reliable and competent person, do you think he would be asking for my help?!?!

Do you know how to use the search function on this site ?
If you search "domingo", then you'll find a lot of people saying it's best to avoid....

No joke? Think we might be related. Even royals need help, every so often, surely?

Who are the "right" forum members, though? A number of people defended a "right" forum member named Rachel and look how that turned out.

There was no ageism anywhere in your post so don't worry, if they got offended it's their problem. You're right that old people tend to be more vulnerable exactly for the reasons you said.
But really stupidity doesn't discriminate for age :p

Scam? No way! He's a Nigerian prince, yes, a prince! Someone like that is above mere fraud. He simply needs my help in moving his fortune out of the country. For just $10,000 to cover permits and bank fees, I'm getting a share. What a deal!

Hahahah yeah fucking Rachel is in big problems. She had contact also outside the site and now people have her Facebook. And she got the warning to pay back money or else police will be informed on her scams

Wow. Well, she only has herself to blame for that. She needs to suffer the consequences of scamming vulnerable people out of money. Not only is she a scammer but not a very bright one giving her details.

It was a figure of speech. I meant that you may innocently speak to a scammer, not knowing anything about the dangers, by PM thinking they are decent and you trust them . You've spoken to the wrong one. I spoke to rachel too thinking she was legit...again, another lucky escape on my part. I did not know anyone defended her, but yes, I see your point.
Oh I see what you're saying. I misunderstood at first. Thanks.

I'm curios as to who else she's scammed and what has come of it because she scammed me too. I have her home address and banking information as well. Such a shame on her part because the police will come knocking on her door because they will see that I transferred the funds directly to her before I CTB.

Just report her to the police.
The police wont even harm you in this case only her

Hi

I was just reading about a scammer who scammed a person for 1100.

This person is new.
I think you need to do something with new members.
So my suggestion

When a person applies here for membership they always recieve a standard message about scammer.

And in that message they are guided to the link of the scammer tread. After reading they need to click a box that they have read the tread.

This will be better as a warning for new members that they learn to do research and really read

This is an excellent recommendation. Before I had acquired powder N, I was almost scammed by a person using an email address which closely resembles A's. Fortunately I eventually received the correct email thanks to members on the forum who guided me correctly. To think I was on the brink of sending the money makes me realise that anyone can fall prey to the unrelenting and heartless scam artists.

Scammers make intense efforts to look like a well liked member in good standing.
That is how they gain your trust.
Rachel74 had LOTS of people fooled.

I emailed A - someone on Reddit gave me his email. It checks out as the same email from PPH. I received a response but I am still not sure if it is legit or not.
