D replied to me and said he got 50 units in, and is selling to me. I haven't heard back on tracking… I will update here if I hear back from D.

I placed my order yesterday too - I doubt they are scamming.

Are you sure it's the correct email?

Yes, I used the same e-mail address as when I first contacted them in mid April - at that time I was told to wait until July. I recontacted them in the last week of April just in case they might have restocked and they replied about a week later.

I purchased recently and then I got on here and saw people saying he was out of stock, I started panicking thinking I'd been scammed. But I received the package and everything looks good. I thought maybe he had saved me some bc I'd reached out earlier and had some issues with payment which took some time to clear up but this could also explain it

I don't think D is scamming - mostly in light of their track record - but I really, really, really hope they send me a tracking number soon because I need to know what day the N is arriving to intercept the package before my SO does.

D sometimes takes a while to get back. I was almost sure he scammed me because he didn't reply to me but did to others, but I got my product at the end.

Read the PPeH section on N. It gives you D's info -- though I think they still refer to him as B in there.

I never got a reply from D when I asked for a tracking number.
However, ~4 days after sending payment to D, UPS sent me an email about a package being "in transit" (because I have an account registered w name address and email). That was likely the day it was released by customs.
2 days after that the package showed up.

No reason to be concerned.

I agree. I know a lot of people get their package before the tracking even updates. I'm more curious to know of developments to sumize whether D does currently have stock.

Did you use your real credentials with D? Did your email address also contain your real credentials?

I was thinking of using a fake name and fake email address…

You have to use your real name, otherwise you have no way of getting your package.

Real name is advisable. A fake name can raise alerts to your package as your name and address are on file and linked together. You could receive it with a fake name but there is no positive reason to use a fake one. Even though it initially seems like there might be.

Do not use your usual email address to contact D or anyone else regarding things like this. You should create a separate email address with no identifying elements linked to it. A proton mail account is free. There are other privacy based email providers offering free accounts but none of them are entirely air tight so use them with that in mind.

Real name.
imagine your package ends up at a pickup location and then is not being released without matching ID.

Generally most of my mail is just dropped off at the door.

I was thinking of getting an external mail box (like a PO Box but with a real address) wonder if I'd have issues with signatures there

Usually they also require ID when setting up the box but may not worry about cross-checking names when items go in the box.

So if your concern is about LE finding out, they easily could find out who the PO Box is rented to.

To me it's just another step where the package could get lost or worse: get dropped and damaged.

Naw. Put it right in my hand please. 😏

I have an external mailbox but when parcels come they're bought to the door. As long as it doesn't need signing for you can leave a note asking them to leave it somewhere specific like with a neighbour or in a safe spot. You can, if you want leave a one time code for a lock box and leave that out for them to put parcels in. Your address is the same of course. They just follow the instructions found at your door. This obviously comes with some potential problems. If someone sees the note before the delivery driver you stand a chance of having it stolen. If you can provide the one time code to the courier via a digital channel that's not a problem so that's what I'd do. Easy to explain that you're not home often and you don't like to leave things with your housemates so you provided a lockbox which you leave open in a safe spot near the home. They just put the item in and close it them leave. You give them the code purely incase the box happens to get closed before they arrive. The code can be changed for the next delivery with ease. You can chain them up, leave a type of gps in them incase they're stolen and even have security measures built in such as smoke and ink bombs. Having them on a live feed doorbell camera also allows real-time updates and communication between you and the courier if needed.

Overkill for one parcel, I know! 😂 But you can see the potential tech brings to these matters and if you get regular deliveries and don't want to sign for them speaking face to face through your door cam makes that much easier. They can simply snap a pic or short vid of you.

Wouldnt a fake name make the police not (metaphorically) r*pe you as hard since you can put the blame on the fake person you made up?
You could also put the name of the previous person who lived in the place you're living in so you can blame them and make them go after them instead of you

No. Thats a misconceived preconception many initially make. It's okd news on the dark net that such assumption is incorrect.

I mean that's great, but that could've easily backfired if they decided they want a signature or some form of ID.

I guess I stand corrected, but I'd still caution against it.
