Scammed by D?

I didn't use my real name and I received my package within 24 hours of it being sent.

It's not that it won't work but that it draws attention. You may get yoyr package or you may find that a postal worker relaises that name doesn't match the address and raise a query on your package. It's considered bad opsec (operational security) to use fake names for delivery amongst drug dealers and buyers on the dark net. Its a somewhat naive but understandable instinct for people to do it but it isn't something that does you any favours. It is just just another possible but not certain way of tripping yourself up.

Your name is linked to your address. Sure, there could be legitimate reasons for someone else to order to your home but it is another thing out of the ordinary that can be part of a number of other factor that can get your package flagged.

Think of it like this - one might get away with shoplifting in front of a cctv camera. It doesn't make doing so the right or safe way to do it.

I do have some knowledge on this matter and it is in fact the riskier option when having illicit items delivered. There is literally no legal benefit to using a false name. If you take delivery your are guilty in the eyes of the law so it makes no difference. It only serves to show premeditation and illusive/deceptive behavour. In a court of law it goes against you. In a postal situation it is a possible but not certain way of getting a package flagged for scrutiny.

As I said, it's something that is covered in detail on dark net markets and its considered bad practice to use a fake name. These are organisations and vendors that have good knowledge on the matter.

I said it in my last post.... your instinct to use a fake name is understandable. Logical even. However if you follow it through to its logical conclusion that all falls apart. It is in fact more sensible and logical to use a real name.

At least a couple have had visits. Check out @wljourney thread. They started it a couple of days ago so you'll find it in their posting history. They sited around 5 or 6 cases of concern. One appeared to have gone for an immediate psych evaluation. I'm assuming they went voluntarily though I don't know for certain.

Thanx for that. I don't know what to make of it all, but I do know that way too many members of SS are way too quick to volunteer too much info, especially about N and D and where to find contact info, to brand new members, with next to no posts. And then everyone sits and wonders how things like this get started? Makes no sense to me. I wonder if everyone is following the "rules" to like using a VPN and encrypted email and all that?

Considering how many people are not able to follow the rules about sources, pictures, etc., I highly doubt it.

Well, that's a major problem, and why I think D is compromised. In another thread last week, it was reported getting strange email replies from D about paying different than normal and, also, question straight up in email reply like "where do you live"?, which isn't normal. Screws it for everyone. And it makes sense that he's compromised. Wherever he sent N, he has addresses, and is it coincidence that it was reported by a reliable member here last week about confirmed knocks on doors from LE? I know what 2 + 2 equals. I'm not that far gone.

I've not ordered from D yet but have had some email correspondence with D. I've never read ANY one post anything about D being a scammer

Does he always ask if you want to pay with western union or money gram? Not from all the posts I've read, he hasn't. It was always crypto and you had to bring up the WU or MG. Tomorrow, or I guess it will be today for me since it's 2:30 AM, I'm going to put a timeline together with dates and postings of all this, and I'll post it in this thread. It will take some time to do it and I'm too tired now and going to go to bed. I'll start when it was first reported about D about being out of N. Then the few users who reported the less than normal responses in emails, which was then followed by the credible reports from an established user on SS about the confirmed visits from LE to SS user's houses, and then some more responses from D to other users.

I also don't think this is due to D being compromised. D's style of communication has not changed. However it has been reported that he is currently not responding (which is not new and it was the weekend after all). Maybe he is out of stock again.

I have no intention of ordering from D now or in the near future. Until more is known, I am still going to assume, I have to assume for my own welfare, that D has been compromised, along with his records, and that is where the info for LE for whom to conduct knock-knocks on has come from.

For whom? I may have missed something, but if regarding LE, that is what they do and are paid to do. In another note, it is very easy to see how a member of SS could easily compromise D by not following rules about using encrypted email and a VPN. The only way encrypted email will work is if BOTH parties use it. If only one uses it, meaning D, it is 100% traceable. Actually, it is traceable even if both parties use it, but is much harder. It is easy if no one uses it or only one.

"AND customs knowing what to look for".....This is because some users of this forum mentioned too many details about shipping, label, packaging and customs declaration in the forum. Even photos were uploaded. It´s not good to mention the name of the courier. Now customs knows where to look specifically. Customs will be very grateful for this helpful info. Not only registered users can read in this forum. But even registered users can be policemen and customs.

D replied to me and said he got 50 units in, and is selling to me. I haven't heard back on tracking… I will update here if I hear back from D.

Hey I've also emailed D they responded quickly but am afraid to place an order, if you get yours in the end? I only have the one email for them.

You can try and email him again, but keep in mind that South Korea is very strict with importing illegal things like N.

iirc there are a few countries that D doesn't generally ship to. I believe South Korea is one of them. You could try and search the forum a bit more for this specific issue.
