Sauna+swimming in lake.

There is nothing more pleasurable in life. I prefer wood heated kiuas (sauna)

Well anyway, I've never tried saunas... I'm curious now. Does it feel like taking a really hot bath?

I am from country where saunas are huge cultural thing. Personally, I prefer at least 80c-90c warmth, then jumping into indoor swimming pool or near by lake!

It is estimated that there are three million saunas in Finland, for a population of 5.5 million.

I must admit I don't fully understand. You do this in winter right? Isn't it like -5°C outside? haha

Some do something called ice swimming, I have never done it personally, I would freeze to death. but some do it and say it is healthy.

I would try it though... but winter where I live is like... 10°C most days. After doing this I'd be in bed for week lol

I kinda like that in my country we experience all four seasons. I cannot imagine living in somewhere where it is always hot or cold. It would be so dull.

Well to us 10°C is cold and 40°C is hot haha
Places near the equator don't have season really, that must be weird, but it's not really the case where I live. I think the difference between maximum and minimum temperature is pretty similar in our case (though I'm like... shifted by 20°C upwards haha)

Where I am from we have free outdoor saunas. It is called "summer"

I also live next to small lake. It has great beach, during summers.

Ice swimming is pretty neat with sauna. Have tried it a dozen times and it's soo refreshing and somewhat even sensational for the body and the mind in my experience. I recommend trying it even once wholeheartedly if you can ! It also is allegedly healthy fe. for the blood circulation. Remember to have enough hydration with you too when doing it though
