You're so right. It does feel lonely. Rarely do we know people in person with the same desires. If they do want to die most don't talk about it due to the stigma. This site is filled to the brim with incredible people just like us. This site offers validation. Society doesn't.

While the nature of this site might be a little depressing, having my wishes be accepted and not treated as irredeemably crazy is a very comforting contrast to the regular world.

Regular people also rarely actually listen to what I tell them when I talk about it. Family, Friends, Doctors etc. just automatically assume everything I'm saying is nonsense and start lecturing me with the same canned responses.

I'm very appreciative of the few people I know who, while not supporting my wish, at least try to understand and accept it, but even they kind of turn a blind eye.

I'm really glad places like this exist.

This site is a sanctuary for us. And the best thing about this site is that most people on here have a rational view of suicide. It's not 'suicide is never the answer', or 'suicide is the only answer'; it's 'let's think about the circumstances and decide if suicide is the answer'. And if it is, what is the most peaceful and painless way to leave this earth.

But try having a rational discussion about suicide anywhere else and see how quickly you're in a soft room.

No we're not in this together. A few here were never designed to be on this earth in the first place. Or maybe I'm alone in that too. I talk to very few on here and fewer stay. .

We are just anonymous individuals sharing stories of misery and techniques on how to die. No need for the hallmark waterworks cliches imo, that statement feels as empty to me as the platonic anti-suicide rhetoric we hear in the media.

If you are truly in the abyss, destined to die by your own hand you have my sympathy, this is a horrid spot to be in, good luck.
