An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
I probably believe in reincarnation in some way. My hope just depends on that my next life will be better than the one that I currently have, if it is true.
I understand, I could personally never believe in that but the thought of being burdened with this existence permanently suffering for all eternity is certainly horrific, nothing under any circumstances would make me wish to exist rather I just hope and wish for nothingness instead, I only hope to never exist ever again.
we know it for a fact that you started to exist for some reason at the point of your birth (your consciousness, your self did), before which you didn't exist, then would it not be logical to assume that after you cease to exist (after death), out of that non-existence you will emerge again in another body? I am not talking at all about reincarnation, consciousness probably dies after death, but if the only real thing we can know for sure about consciousness is that it (seemingly) randomly appears out of non-existence, why wouldn't the same happen after you die?
This seems a lot more likely to me than "nothingness forever". You started to exist once, without any reason, why not again? Obviously you would not have memories or anything, cause that dies with the previous brain, but the baby would be you.
Those that believe in reincarnation say its your souls choice to reincarnate and you could be a totally different person the next time around . We wont have an ego when we die so no sense in worrying about it
Interesting, I share your idea. The only thing I wonder : if the consciousness die (ego, memories, etc) with the body, how could we say that the new existence, the baby, coming from the non-existence would be YOU. What is YOU if both your consciousness (ego, identity, memories, etc) and your body die together ?

Thankfully there is no reincarnation as this is just a human construct that has been made to alleviate people's fear of permanent non existence. Death is just permanent non existence, nothing else

Whether the baby is "you" depends entirely on what "you" means:
If "you" are your ego, memories, and identity, then death ends you entirely, and the baby is someone else.
If "you" are the raw capacity for awareness that arises from non-existence, then the baby is a new instance of "you"—not the old "you," but another emergence of the same fundamental process that created "you" before.
If "you" are defined as the mere capacity to experience or be aware, then the baby could be considered "you" in a fundamental sense: not because of any personal continuity, but because it represents the re-emergence of conscious experience from non-existence.
If consciousness is not continuous, then the new baby's experience is entirely separate from yours. In this sense, the baby is not "you" but a completely new conscious being, just as you are not the same as anyone who lived before you.

It can be hard to accept that our hopes and dreams are just functions of our brains, says neurophilosopher Patricia Churchland, but it shouldn't scare us

Imo This consciousness is nothing a pos just creates unbearable pain.
I'd like looop back to my day of birth (or conception for that matter) and use whatever experience I've gathered until now to "correct" the undesired outcomes of what I call today "my past".
After some internet research, I've found that's physically impossible. As a result, I consider the comment @pthnrdnojvsc made a second best price.
I think only if you have been a bad person, did horrible things in life like kill, influence the life of other people to have more suffering, pain.... beat at your children without reason, abuse animals....... you will be forced down here to TRY again without a choice, but at least without memory and what you did in past life, as a true chance to prove you can be better.
For those that had great life and I believe even for those that commit suicide without major other sins, will be allowed to rest their soul and when they feel ready, can reincarnate again.
I know, why would I wanted to reincarnate again? It may take years, decades, centuries for us to want to return and try to realize ours dreams in this physical plane.
I personally don't believe in reincarnation. I think when you die, your organic material comes back to earth and your mind is gone. Just like it is when you sleep (unless you dream, but that's your subconscious, which is still a part of your mind, which is gone when you're dead). Just a blissful nothingness waiting for us on the other end. You didn't have a consciousness before you were born, you won't have one after you die.
