He could be lying, could be telling the truth. This has comforted me a lot as my method is N.
Said his breathing was normal, felt a bit dizzy then passed out. No pain.
Old Reddit post archived from SS subreddit. He took 100ml of vet N, 60 or 80mg of Meto an hour prior. Also thinks he had a light meal a few hours prior. He was found about 3-4 hours after passing out and said that it was like he was sleeping when he was unconscious.

well, barbiturates do basically work via the same GABA receptor like benzos (there is a difference in the way the receptor is activated) and it sedates, is working against fear and all the stuff ... it has similarities to a benzo overdose, the difference being that the latter is with almost certainty not lethal. So the report sounds credible.

I have seen 2 videos so far and in one the person says "it hurts" and in the other one they become really thirsty and seem desperate for water right before passing out.
At least that only lasts a very short time though and then it is lights out from their perspective.

It shouldn't hurt, N is painless

In most cases it is but there can be complications.
Consider source. A hit piece from an anti-AS org, ghost written by someone who still showers with their dad. If you read the details most of those stats apply to protocols using N alternatives implemented in response to cost and sourcing issues with N. The only portion that really addresses pentobarbital directly touches on a weird folk hero who took 6 days to die or whatever but didn't have issues outside the extended coma situation. He was just being a diva imo

Duh? Lols sorry but Nembutal, Fentanyl and other similar in effect drugs are the Golden standard.
They are almost mythical, legendary, most ideal almost fantasy like for ctb.
Its just very hard to get them.

11/317 (3 %) of people that barbiturates were used on did have complications though. They did generalise the symptoms but the clinical paper they linked that 6 different doctors wrote didn't clarify what drug caused what symptom either.

Where will you be getting the N? Nowadays, there are very few sources, most online sources are scams. The only legitimate sources that i know of now are in central and south america and those are from agroveterinarias (as per the pph essentials). Will you be getting your N from them?

I already have N from D. Got it almost 2 years ago.

Why aren't you using it sooner? If I got it i'd immediately use it after I acquire antiemetics.
I still live with my parents and can't get a hotel room. Not sure where to CTB. I don't think I'm ready to die yet either.

Why can't you get a hotel room? Isn't D's N 700 dollars or something? If you could afford that i'd expect you to be able to get a hotel. Or can you not get a hotel because of your parents? And afaik ctb with N only takes an hour or two (as per the pph essentials) so you could definitely do it at night.

I will probably have some very loud death rattle-esque snoring which would alert my mom. Can't get a hotel because of parents. Rare but it could take 24 hours or more to die.

Oh, i didn't know in some cases it could take such a long time. Maybe make up a lie saying you're gonna go somewhere for a while, but instead you're going to a hotel. They'll only suspect something when you don't come home for a while but they won't know where to look for you.

Well I never leave the house unless it's for work, so it would be very strange to say I'm going somewhere for a while.

Then you could say to them that you're going out with friends. They might believe that.

Well, in that case, you could just say that you're gonna visit somewhere for a while (could be anywhere) and that you want to go alone, so they don't offer to accompany you there. Then that would maybe be a viable reason as to why you're booking a hotel stay.

Another user said it might not be peaceful and now I'm scared
I think it's the most peaceful method possible. If I had access to N, I'd not feel any concerns about taking it on that front. You're very lucky.

It would depend which one. Several studies are linked. One for instance, don't remember which, shows only secobarbital was used. One, from the Netherlands, is from the early 90s. Protocol has presumably been refined since then. The piece employs deliberately vague phrasing, doesn't distinguish between barbiturates, etc.
It glosses over how many things described as "complications" in the studies are common benign occurrences that don't necessarily signify distress or failure (vomiting, difficulty swallowing the dose). Prolonged time to death, well we know about that one. It doesn't affect peacefulness, more of an inconvenience. Cyanosis, which will happen if you die this way, is deemed a "complication". Is possibility of death also a complication? The whole thing reads like it's counting on people not reading the linked reports. Just lazy bunk with an agenda, bombarding with numbers and vaguely ominous terminology. "Boomer bait". Pento itself doesn't really come off bad though

It infuriates me that such a miraculous product exists and it's unaccessible to us.

Speaking of Reddit, some users have managed to synthesise their own N, although for recreational use rather than ctb:
