yep normie websites/social media are greedy for money is like this.

There are people like us on reddit, but they get banned so fucking fast and get ridiculed for 'encouraging suicide' which is completely wrong.

we just lay out the options and you make your own decision but the real reason for this is has always been money.

for example reddit mainly makes its money by advertising as soon as reddit allows more posts to talk about the option of suicide, then a news company so desperate for clicks makes a hit piece and reddit loses advertisers.

so they have to be so sterilized it's basically censorship.

that's why a place like this can flourish, it's not a slave to boomer advertiser executives

i see nothing wrong with that post i thought this site was pro choice and not pro suicide
there are some cases where people feel trapped and see suicide as the only option when someone is dead set and has made their mind to ctb and when people force them to stay we say thats wrong

it works the same other way around too he/she is saying they want to live and try to recover and doesnt want to catch the bus and when she sees people maybe telling her how she has the right to ctb like cool but she wants to live and nothing wrong with that
nothing wrong with trying to improve
tho i do agree every place apart from this site are quite heavy on the censorship so thats that

Man alive, that person is doing some serious lashing out. That's all I see. And I get it -- I haven't "lost it" like that in YEARS! And thankfully I did it verbally and not in writing. Gosh ... That actually makes me REALLY sad for that person. Not because they don't want to die -- I am staunchly pro-choice -- but because they see self-determination as a deterrent to their ability to get help. That is sad ...

Can you explain your rational? what is the difference between having a breakdown of sorts in writing vs verbally? because that reddit profile is likely anon so they aren't suffering consequences.

That person is not very pro choice from the post no? That's what I meant, even in the comments.

i think the person from the post is pro choice when they say "i want to live actually" they chose to live and recover
and if you are talking about the comments which are in support of her i do get that if someone was saying they want to die and was seeking for ways on how to on reddit people wont encourage that but i feel like that because going for ctb in my opinion should not be the default choice or the first choice if that makes sense
but then again i am not trying to say that people who are going for ctb didnt try to recover again no one realy knows what someone is going through in their lives

And in the comments about the people that don't want to live and get better they are aggressive...therefore....they are not pro choice, yes that was what I'm talking about

That may be true -- I'm solidly in the Boomer Era and have this pretty unshakable belief that if it is on the internet SOMEBODY who is motivated enough will find it. 🤷🏻 The brainwashing is near perfect with me. 😉

Plus I think we have ALL seen instances where something that was said (or video of something happening) or posted on the internet has absolutely NOT turned out like the person doing the posting meant for it to and next thing you know they were doxxed and lost their job ... Or friends ... Or anything that was truly important to them just because they thought it was okay to tell the world something that usually isn't even that profound ... Or uncommon.

I dunno. All I know is I REMEMBER VIVIDLY what an idiot I was at 12, 13, 18, mid-20s, even into my 30s and 40s. Hell I'm coming up on 70 now and I STILL have days where I wonder why I think it is MY God-given mission to prove to those around me just what a dingaling I can be. And when it happens it wasn't usually because I was trying to. 🤷🏻🤦🏻

So much of what we believe is just two friends "talking" (like this or any forum for example) can actually be found and used against us. If we still care. Or if we might care in the future. Me?? I'm old and have lived my life -- fuck that shit. Lol I have spent my whole life being misunderstood and told I'm an outcast and a weirdo and no one is ever gonna love me for me. So much so that I do not care (plus menopause will do that to you ladies!) any longer. But a lot of folks might look back on a post like that and kinda cringe a little bit when they are older. For example, I am not nearly as smart now as I thought I was at 20. Or even 30. I think I kinda peaked in my 40s when all my kids were in high school because after that I didn't even have 2 fully functional brain cells left. And the ones that we left didn't want to have anything to do with each other. 😉
