Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Reddit becomes another site to introduce age verification to appease the UK's ever-overreaching OFCOM regulations. Users will be required to upload their ID or a selfie to access 18+ or NSFW content. It's just another step in the UK's authoritarian agenda.

Yuck...Wish more companies were brave enough to just make their site inaccessible in the UK but of course that won't happen because money. Obviously anyone in the UK could just use a VPN to bypass restrictions.

awful... People become Big Brother in the name of child protection or something though they hate totalitarianism like 1984. It's no surprise even if the UK would ban Tor and VPN next. We are now seeing how democracy fails.

I think all forums should ban traffic from the UK because that's where a lot of the annoying bootlickers come from, the rare people with brains living there would circumvent it easily anyway, so it'd just filter out the cattle
