deadass, if I do nothing and just sit on my ass in front of the computer daily, how low are the odds of actually just having this kill me?

There is a phenomenon called psychogenic death, where people just literally give up and die.
People with dysexistential syndrome can literally will themselves to die.

Well, the human body can survive weeks without foo but most people can only survive 2 to 4 days without water.

Starvation and Dehydration.

It would be a painful death.

The reality is that the chance of one dying is 100%, we all have to cease existing someday and we are only waiting around to die.

I tried stopping food/water intake, got too painful to bear and SI kicked in. Dunno how people who CTB'd doing this managed (or activists that died during starvation protests).

And as much as @MeltingBrain is joking, I wish there were a button to just erase my existence and all traces of it from the world like I'd never existed at all. But seems there's no easy way.

Yes — there is current Medical/ Scientific research — via— Dr John Leach, Survival Expert / UK military etc

There's other threads with some of the links and long medical history

Dr Leach's research concluded that fatal dopamine depletion is the cause of death
It's a bizarre concept and unique to the individual / predicament — the trauma is relative
Via — University of Portsmouth survival psychology researcher John Leach :

"But sometimes the threat — or the perception of it — doesn't pass.

In that case, a person can lose hope of escape and, "the prefrontal cortex deliberately inhibits the production of dopamine in the basal ganglia to well below its functional level," says Leach.

"That's associated with the feeling of hopelessness." If this continues for too long, it can become impossible to restart dopamine production.

The person in this situation begins a "spiral of disengagement," which consists of five stages …

"this ability to construct a meaningful (or even possible) path into the future is related to our dopamine circuits, —whereas depression is more closely associated with the serotonin circuits.

When a person becomes hopeless, —
or demoralized, — this hope-related part of the brain doesn't function as it should.

'Demoralization can arise from a struggle to cope with a stress or event,' … 'which can include a medical illness, — or entrapment in a predicament that you can't control.'"

*Psychogenic death = Fatal Dopamine depletion

Realistically, what are the % odds of just dying without doing anything?

100% - You will die someday. The question is more about misery. How much physical/emotional/psychological misery do you want to endure until you get to the point where your life is nearing its natural ending? Also, how much physical suffering is OK with you as you move towards death?

I read if you sit continuously for like 36 hours then suddenly stand up you should have a high chance of getting a blood clot that will kill you.
Or a heart attack.
Look up how video game addicts in China die in days because of this.
