When I did my attempt in '06 I felt something like that. I'd never felt at peace like that before. It wasn't so much a 'I have nothing to lose' feeling but more like 'Game Over'. There wasn't anything left to do, nothing left to say, nothing left to worry about. I was completely in the moment - almost a Zen feeling. But it didn't last.
Now I'm fighting against a 'what's the point' feeling. I fight it every day; I have my systems in place to protect me.. but they only have to fail once. I decided a while back that if it still hurts it's not time.
