What are the downsides, risks, and failure rates of suicide by train versus suicide by cop, given that these are the only two methods being considered? I tried looking for threads that talk about the said methods but I couldn't find any. I'd really appreciate some assistance.

Suicide by cop generally does not work. Despite what media shows us, most police do not shoot citizens willy-nilly. They will use less lethal methods and take you into custody instead.

Suicide by train is very messy but if you don't care about traumatizing other people then it's the go to IMHO. I wanted to do it by laying my neck on the tracks so the train decapitates me which should be less messy. I know of one case close to where i live where a young man stood in front of a speeding train and got basically pulverized. It took many people to find most of his body's pieces and most of the clean up crew needed therapy afterwards. Not sure if you watch fucked up videos on sites like 4chan,kaotic or others but i saw many train accident videos and if you get hit straight on you are minced meat. One video stuck in my mind where a poor donkey walked on the train tracks for some reason and once it got hit it basically exploded.
