I have this rope in my house that I am wondering if its good for partial hanging. (I'm quite skinny and I don't weigh a lot)
Here's the link: Amazon link to my rope

I am thinking of doing partial with this rope from a pretty strong doorknob. I made a slipknot and an Arbor knot with it, it seems to work fine.

Could this rope work?

Thanks.

it's just to give my question some attention
Ahh, I see. Partial is my goal as well. I am using nylon rope not too big but enough to hold me and then some. Found my sweet spot last night and almost passed out. Taking a break tonight but going full throttle in by the end of the week. The trick for me was taping some wash rags to the rope so I could adjust them to the sweet spot. Not sure but I think I can hit it every time with little to no adjustment. Not at all saying you should do the same. It is just what I did. Peace be with you

I've heard of placing towels/socks so it makes it less painful. I think I'll try that. Where on ur neck did u place the wash rags?

Thanks.

Surprisingly more to the sides for me that is. You may be 100 percent different. Luckily I had played the choking game as a youngster so I know the principle.

Do u recommend hyperventilating before leaning in?

Sorry I'm just afraid of the consequences if I fail.

I don't know. I am new to all this myself and looking for answers as well. I just keep trying different things and hoping to get it right very soon. I wish I could be more help and wish we would have met under different circumstances. Maybe some others will see our conversation and chime in. Like I want to know how to tie a slip knot that will not loosen or a simple knot that will only tighten the way I need it to and not loosen the other way

Nah that won't really help you in any way. Hyperventilating just reduces CO2 levels in the blood. In partial oxygen is cut off from the brain with the ligature.
