Torture is a good word.
I found a therapist who knew trauma well, and he brought me to a place of healing from it (CSA, narc mother, molestation as a young adult). I'm in my 50s and never thought I'd begin to feel good.
Then the therapist (married) fell in love with me. And I love him deeply. I had to move back to my home country in the spring and he's all but disappeared. I'm back with the narc mum and absolutely nothing else in life. Alllll of the memories, old and new, are so much to take
I've been surfing since I got back. In bed, shaking, hyperventilating and trying to find one thing to live for or zone out even for a few moments of "peace."
And I was told by my GP that he wouldn't prescribe me the MS meds that usually help unless I go through all of the tests again.
So I'm in an episode that won't end any time soon.Similar threads
