Venting I disowned my own father

It's awful that it had to come to this, but I needed to do it for my own well-being. He was never there for me when I needed him the most. I tried repairing our relationship recently, even if it was just over email, but he kept dismissing my emotions and my vents in general, while he vented to me about why he had to leave my mother. He knew she was an unstable person, but left me to deal with her on my own for pretty much my entire life. That's probably something I can never forgive him for.
My cry for help to him in our recent texts was very obvious. They were still ignored.
I wish I had a better family.
