I do not know what thinking about it. I met some good people nurse, psychologist and psychiatrist but also very bad of these people.

2 years ago i had a big depression with suicidal thoughts and these people help me a lot, i was enjoying life again at this time. But these same people and a new nurse are very bad for my issue now since June when my girlfriend leave : greater depression with greater suicidal thoughts after the loss of my girlfriend and the fact that i lost house, work and have to live in my toxic parent's house. I explained the situation because between the first time i need their help and now they become very bad firstly with false advices and secondly they even Say to me that they can't help me more. Or tell me to quit all my life now and go help people or take vacation in another country... Like i have infinite money to do all of this... If i had such money i would not need someone to know this money can be used to enjoy some part of the life.
I search for scientific ressources in psychology and found a lot of scientifics methods to act directly on the brain and body. So my question is why the people i called to help me such as the psychologist and the psychiatrist even the emergency number do not use these method.

I agree there are too few mental health professionals so we take those we find but there are too many scams and false professionals even in those who have the required qualification.

Yes it's right, in summer all my mental health care has stopped. I mean people can go in vacations of course but in my country there are no others people to get help. I will maybe contact some association to find human people without money influence

Not a personal experience because all I ever met was the wastes of health insurance called psychologists but one when my mother sued a hospital for medical malpractice and attempted manslaughter.

She went all the way to another city to meet a criminal psychologist who left her completely inconsolable. Two days of just bawling her eyes out the entire time and screaming like a mad woman. I had never seen her do that badly mentally before and I had been there when she nearly died in that fucking hospital. She was sent home after this with a diagnosis and a recommendation for some meds.
Not even a prescription.
A recommendation that she should consider some fucking meds.
And of course a fear of doctors, specifically Psych doctors that she starts crying and shaking if anyone brings them up.

I cannot help but be in pure awe at the efficiency of that psychiatrist, both in diagnosing a woman with PTSD (a diagnosis teenaged me could have made at the time) and triggering said PTSD so hard someone didn't stop having flashbacks for two days.
In comparison to what I am reading on here that was an unusual thing for a "take your pills and fuck off" doctor to do but then again, part of a criminal investigation so maybe those guys are less drug dealers and more enhanced interrogation specialists

Hi,
Psychiatrists aren't very helpful. I've seen many psychiatrists, and I know quite a few people who have, and many have told me it didn't do them any good.
Besides, there are too few psychiatrists for the number of inhabitants. Consultations are either too expensive or rushed.

And you?
They are helpful. For the system. They work for the syst. Fully integrated. They aren't for us. They are there to get the human cog in the system stable enough to return to their job. So yes they are helpful. Just not for u or us. Same way eifel tower does nothing for us. Or a new fighter jet. Or a useless American flag on the moon. Its buisness. For them. Not for us. Quite simple if you think about it

my psychiatrist was very helpful, and gave me most of the prescriptions I asked for (provided that my requests were reasonable). Some of them worked and some of them didn't, but I just stopped taking the ones that didn't
Yes. It's a racket. If you have a smart friend, that is just as good (better) than a therapist. Prescription drugs are super dangerous too, they help and then your body becomes dependent on them, good luck.
that is not universal, do not dismiss medications so easily

I'm not sure what can be attributed to psychiatry and what's just the result of me not being in college for two months. the only thing that's clearly improved is that I have an appetite now because of a medication. which I guess is important for not starving purposes.

Some psychiatrists make no effort, and since they have a long waiting list of patients, they don't care if they lose you.

The typical psychiatrist is a technocrat who has no sense of the human spirit, no sense that human issues are involved in the problems people bring for treatment.
