I'd still suggest you at least to buy some alcohol or benzos to minimize the pain.
I have seen several hanging videos in gore site, not sure if you want to see it to learn more technical infos. I personally think hanging is better than jumping since I have chronic acrophobia but actually I also think jumping is faster despite the mess.
However you decide I wish you strength to the end.
