pretty desperate will paracetamol work?

I want to die but everything is pretty unaccessible to me. I've worked out that three packets of paracetamol should potentially do it, I don't care about the death being painful or long and drawn out. If I take them and don't tell anyone would liver toxitiy set in? I only want to go to hospital with it if it's too late. Otherwise if anyone has an alternative SN source since IC got shut down, that would be really helpful. Thankyou!

Don't do it! I have taken overdoses of tablets before and felt very uncomfortable few days after it and was OK. I dread to think the amount of pain 3 pockets of paracetamol would do!

It's highly unlikely.. And liver failure is not something to play about with, trust me. It can take 3-5 days, and is incredibly painful and unpleasant.
If you're SO desperate, and really don't care about those factors, then the decision is yours to make. I'm sure it has worked for a few people. But I wouldn't recommend it at all.

It was in 2 bits. I took 1000 of the 500mg. I can swallow a lot of pills at once anyway. I can't remember how long it took but I was frantic. I was in the office and I kept working until I was very ill. I tried to walk to the elevator but passed out. The security guard found me and managed to wake me up. This is some 6 to 8 hours later. I called my brother and he took me to hospital. I was awake but confused and slurring but I stillremember it so it couldn't have affected me that much. I was admitted and when I woke up the next day, I actually felt ok. I escaped and climbed over the hospital wall because I knew there was a pharmacy. I bought 1000 more and took them all in the ward.

This time when they noticed it was only around 2 hours after. The 2nd dose hammered me a lot quicker and the pain from my liver was excruciating. It was this pain that alerted them. But anyway they fed me activated charcoal.

I was in a general ward with lots of people. The girl in the bed right next to me had syphilis and had gone blind. But I still took every single tablet on the nurses trolley when she left the ward. In those days they didn't have those locked boxes. They just put measured doses in little cup things. I have no idea what I took but obviously I was found out quickly and given charcoal again.

I'm lucky in that 32 years later, my liver has not been damaged irreparably. But I'm screwing it with high dosages of anti histamine.

I don't think so, like others have said, it would likely result in a very unpleasant and painful experience while still being alive. That is worse than death itself, and also if you survive (which is quite high with just paracetamol alone, even in large quantities) you would likely be sectioned/put into an involuntary hold/detention for some time...

That's one of the worst ways to die actually. Once your liver's dying, there's no cure. All you can do is wait to die, or be lucky enough to have a transplant. Nothing will help lessen the pain. Not morphine, not anything. You'll suffer immensely until you die, about 3-5 days later. That's not a fun way to go at all. And if you get lucky enough to have a transplant, then someone who really needed that transplant might die because of you, so how would you be able to live with that guilt? Find another solution, it's best in every case possible

The paracetamol is unlikely to kill you but the kidney failure down the line may

It can work. Would i recommend it? Absolutely not. I've taken a few Panadol overdoses, absolutely HORRIFIC feeling when it hits. My worst one made me very sick and I had to be in hospital for 5 days getting treatment for it and that it'self was another form of torture! I had a online friend who overdosed on it as a cry for help but she ended up passing away from it, her mum still posts on her Facebook, it's very sad

Don't do it. I just recently tried ctb by this method, and not only didn't it work, but it can also cause you severe liver damage. It also hruts really, really bad.
