Hey everyone :)

So I have an idea and idk whether it's hella dumb or not. I want to eat progressively more and more salty so that I can handle SN better when the moment comes...

What do you think about it ? 🤔

I'm not going to lie. I've fasted a lot in the past. And when I fasted (water fasted), I usually crave salt and electrolytes.

Of course I fixed that by having electrolytes during the fast. But I imagine if you've fasted and waited then your body would accept the SN a bit more feeling like it was salt maybe.

That being said, that particular feeling only appeared for me after more than 24 hours fasting. The salt craving, I mean. i'm not sure the protocol calls for that long of a fast.

I workout a lot and sweat a lot. When I come back home and salt my salads, it seems like no amount is enough. If you want to progressively salt your food just for the sake of getting used to the taste, I'm not sure what to tell you. I'm not sure if that will work. I do know that if you sweat a lot and you're depleted, your body will absolutely crave salt.

I understand the apprehension. But ultimately it comes down to just downing a slightly uncomfortable salty solution...

nothing's gonna make your body "accept" sn more, you're just gonna get sick by doing that.

I've heard this is a thing, yes. Ie. if you are used to the strong taste of something specific, you are less likely to have the standard gag reaction to it when you suddenly consume a lot of it, salt in this case.
The taste of SN is a factor apparently. So having something to get rid of the taste immediately after, eg some mints or a small strong alcoholic drink of your choice to get rid of the taste I've heard is recommended.
High salt intake is not good for your general health though, can lead to other nasty health conditions. You may regret "training" with a high regular salt intake if you don't end up CTB with SN. Maybe swill with salt water but don't swallow? Idk. I'm thinking of doing this in the days leading up to if I CTB with SN. It won't need processing by your body as a food, as salty food does, so there might not be much value in being more salt tolerant (if that's even possible?). Idk, just guessing.
I'm not sure that the body's response to reject SN by vomiting is just due to the taste, it's more likely due to the fact that it's poisoning you.
Edit: Sorry, to clarify; being used to the taste of salt, yes. Being able to process high amounts of salt, no value. Just my 2 cents.

I actually started doing that, too. But with little packets of citric acid and sodium bicarbonate. Now I just like eating the mixture after growing fond of the flavors and foamy crunchiness.😹🥸😹🥸

I recently tried the SN solution... Yes, I know it's very irresponsible and dangerous. But I only wanted to check the taste, without swallowing even a single drop. It was very salty, but not as bad as I expected after reading the forum.

Honestly, I think it won't be a big problem if you dissolve it 50 - 75 ml of water. Swallowing it all at once, and that's it.

Don't eat too much salt it could weaken your body very much and you could end up with terrible consequences.
