Thanks.. They told me an older lady adopted him, but they won't give contact info or anything. No way anyone would love him as much as I did though, I was not myself when I made the decision to give him up and leave like that.

Everyone just tells me to get another cat, but it's not the fact of having a cat I miss, it's that specific cat. I don't think most people connect with a cat the way I did.

Honestly if I ctb that will be one of if not the main reason. Wonder if anyone's ever ctb from guilt after abandoning their cat before

people are shallow garbage. they say this kind of crap when others lose their partners/spouses; others' lack of ability to form unique bonds is utterly incomprehensible.
i feel attachment to fruit flies when there's only one in my kitchen. we aren't meant for this world..!

Exactly. I hate when people are like oh it's just a cat and stuff like that, as though it's less than a human somehow. Cats would never do the type of evil shit people do on a regular basis.

They have no herd mentality or group think, a cat judges you based on how you treat them alone. It decides for itself what type of person you are, which is smarter then the vast portion of humanity

Sure a cat might play with a mouse until they kill it or something, which can be seen as kind of psychopathic; but I think the type of psychological torture humans inflict on each other is much more painful in the long term. That mouse is long dead and your just being tortured for a lifetime.

He will never leave my field of vision until he breaks, I ctb, or I lose him. Such a ridiculous and materialistic thing to be so happy about but here we are. Made me feel like a kid on Christmas lol.
