There is no night without a dawning
No winter without a spring
And beyond the dark horizon
Our hearts will once more sing…
For those who leave us for a while
Have only gone away
Out of a restless, care worn world
Into a brighter day.

Helen Steiner RIce
Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet.
Let it not be a death but completeness.
Let love melt into memory and pain into songs.
Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest.
Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night.
Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence.
I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light your way.

Rabindranath Tagore

Just to be clear, I originally saw this posted by @R.E.N. and I do not know who originally created it. That being said, hopefully this can calm down those who may be scared of the prospect of what comes after death.

People here hate life lol it won't calm them down.

I saw this on /x/ too, it makes sense but there are thousands of other theories who make sense. No one knows the true, we can only theorize and believe in it.

Personally, i believe that after death we enter our imagination. As we're living on this earth as living beings, we have a body that enables us to exist in the physical plane. And our brain is the connector between these two planes. So we fully exist in the physical plane and can have one step in the mental plane. Once the connection is ruptured, the physical body is no more and we enter our imagination. It's like a lucid dream without "glitches" caused by the brain. A new boundless reality, without the vulnerability of flesh. It's like you were playing a mmorpg, and now you're playing an offline solo rpg with mods and cheats avaiable.

Depends on the person. Some people hate life as a whole, some people hate -this- life specifically, but may be satisfied in different life circumstances.
I think your theory is interesting and even more appealing to me than what I posted.

This doesn't make sense to me though... We don't know what came before we were born just the same as- we don't know what comes after death. How can you compare two states- when you don't know for sure what happens in them? You can't say the two states are the same without REALLY knowing what's going on. It's just summizing because one state APPEARS to be like another. Identicle twins LOOK the same- doesn't mean that they are! Certain conditions- like Catalepsy LOOK like death- it isn't death!

Not that I personally believe it but- religious people might believe there is a spiritual afterlife- rather than a physical birth back on this planet, or another. There's no real proof for this either but it's another idea.

Depends if you like the idea of reincarnation really. If so- and this diagram provides comfort- I'd say- great. I hate the idea of reincarnation! So- I find it comforting that- to my mind- it doesn't prove anything. Just because our imagination/limited percetion/lack of knowledge of one state is just the same as another- it doesn't mean they are the same state. It doesn't mean they are connected at all.

Why does it have ANYTHING to do with the survival of OUR individual consciousness anyway? Things die and things are born all the time. How often does nature replicate things exactly? Even snowflakes are all different! If nature is going to the effort of creating new things each time round (if it is actually recycling)- why would it reincarnate an entirely intact consciousness? If it's REALLY doing that- why aren't we getting smarter as a species? How many times do you suppose I've learnt maths/ physics by now? Shouldn't I be better at it? Why- if our consciousnesses are being recycled- are babies so dumb?!! Or- does consciousness not contain memory or knowledge? If it's just a case of 'lifeforce' then- for those of us worried about reincarnation- maybe we shouldn't be so much. Chances are- if we are unfortunate enough to come back- we won't remember this unhappy time. Maybe we'll do better next time round. Maybe we'll come back as something with less sentience.

The problem with that is that one can either be reborn as a bilionaire with no health issues, or they can be reborn in the wild as an antilope that will wind up being slowly devoured (literally) alive by hyenas/wild dogs. Or even in a shanty town in a third world country. Life is the menace, not eternal death.

-I won't have to fill in a tax return.
-I won't have to do housework.
-I won't be a wage slave.
-I won't be exploiting anyone else.
-I won't have to worry about anything.
-I won't get ill.
-I won't be polluting the earth anymore.
-What's left of my money can go to people who want to live.

Death = non-existence forever . That means never suffering extreme pain, no suffering ever again, no problems forever, not having to take out trash, not having to work, never having to deal with problems pain diseases old age heartbreak , grief parasites, bacteria, stroke , cancer, never having to wash dishes wash clothes,. grocery shop, clean nor fix everything etc. Never being a slave to the body and mind . Never being hungry thirsty cold , bored, depressed again. Never having to worry fear nor dread anything like stroke or accidents not anything at all , free from everything .

No unfulfilled needs

Not having to pay bills. Free from all responsibilities and threats whew

Best of all not a chance of extreme unbearable pain

I believe death to be eternal non-existence where we are finally completely unaware of everything, non-existence means freedom and relief from pain, it's safety from suffering and one cannot be harmed by not existing. Whatever happens in this dreadful reality could never be our concern once we are gone, for us it will be like we never existed at all and to me that is so incredibly ideal.
