Discussion (Positivity Thread) - Tell Me Some Positive Trait/Feature/Belief About Yourself

I thought that since we are getting close to the holidays it would be appropriate to have some positive energy on this forum both for better health and for those that need it around these times, plus cmon, who doesn't like some positive vibes from time to time :)

I truly believe that everyone has something beautiful about themselves (yes even you "I am an ugly failure with no redeeming qualities" people :3), be it a physical trait/feature or their core beliefs/thoughts (you can talk about both or one, whatever is best for you) and I want to hear these things be brought out from people with this thread.

I will start, for physical features I am really happy to have my nice light golden brown hair as well as my light blue eyes, its a pretty good combo in general now that I think about it. The hair has this very soft and tender feel when you put your hands through them, so much so that I have literally been told numerous times by coworkers and even customers a few times (I work as a cashier) if they can touch it. Light blue eyes are a no brainer, everyone likes those.

As for internal beliefs, I am very proud of myself to be born from a country where the president literally said he would rather be a "dictator than gay" (he is one) as well as the country in general having horrible sexist, traditional, conservative, right-wing extremist ideas about society that I somehow managed to not obtain for myself. Like sometimes I truly believe its a miracle I left that toilet of a country and somehow managed to be liberal, progressive, accepting of trans folks, LGBTQ+, and queer myself.

I'm unusually, awe-strikingly beautiful. I'm also very well-read, strongly principled, and I sacrificed myself for something worthwhile. I don't regret ending up the way I did because of that.

I pretty much accomplish anything I set out to do.I have good willpower.
I work hard in pretty much every aspect of my life.

Unfortunate thing is, none of it really makes me happy.

But I still strive to do the best I can in everything that matters or is important.Whether or not I'm in the mood to do it, I'll still do it. I always push forward. It'll be like that till the end.

I have so much love to give. I grew up in a home with 0 love so me being able to show and express my love for others is something I worked hard on.

I don't have much going on physically speaking, however I have very nice shoulders, they're very androgynous in a way and I love them, and people keep complimenting my nails -- their shape, which is a bit of an odd thing to focus on, especially since I get that A LOT, but it's sweet nonetheless -- and my sense of style, which I'm very proud of.

When it comes to personality and beliefs, I admitedly have an attractive personality, and I'm easy to talk to apparently, which kind of sucks since I don't like talking to strangers, but I do like helping so I guess it cancels out? Speaking of, I donate to those in need whenever I can, which considering how my parents react when I excitedly tell them about getting a beggar a warm beverage or blanket (which feels like the bare minimum?), I will say is kind of a miracle, and I've never said or even thought it until now but this is one thing about me where I wish more people shared.

Other Sasu members who know the sins I do to my food would be begging me not to share my recipes. I cook my best meals for others, but lord the stuff I make to my liking is cursed.
It sounds like you have a solid base for cooking. Soups are so underrated.

Ever since I started regularly taking my ADHD medication, my art feels like it exponentially improved, which I'm very happy about. Drawing has been a casual hobby for most of my life, but I never learned any sort of fundamentals, so I'd still pretty much say I'm a beginner. I've slowly been working on that, though! I hope one day I can do full character illustrations instead of just sketches and doodles lol

I decided about 15 years ago I did not want to pay for haircuts anymore, so I learned how to use clippers. I can not do anything super fancy, but I can maintain a pixie cut which ia all the more hair I am willing to have. I also cut my partner's hair.

I would say I find myself physically attractive and am creative and intelligent (at least in the projects I make) and can be very patient with others and mostly empathetic and sometimes funny.

That's the whole idea for this thread, to bring out some happiness in people during these times. I am glad it worked on you (why do I make it sound like it's some evil spell haha) and from what I can tell it worked on many others (yay), makes me think the idea was all the more worth it.

i think i have a remarkable amount of insight for my age, thats what the crisis counselor told me when i was in urgent care at least haha. and i believe it. she asked me if ive ever considered being a case worker

i have, actually. i just realized that being an abused child leading into a career working with abused children would make me horribly sad. i dont want my life to be defined by abuse, even though i do want to help others very badly
