I think I am more aware of /averse to health risks since using chatGPT for health questions. There was a study in my country by a very famous foundation for product quality. And chatGPT received the best and Gemini the worst ratings when it comes to health questions. And interestingly this totally alligns with my experiences. I think using Gemini for health questions is really dangerous. It gave me so much counterproductive feedback. Though, chatGPT was far from perfect according to this foundation. And I also agree with that.
I am not sure whether I will feel better in the longrun using chatGPT when it comes to mental health. There were positive and counterproductive advices.

I am more risk averse though since I use it. I drank a lot of softdrinks (Without calories) in the past 1-2 years. After I stopped drinking them for like a decade prior to it. Yes, I know my nutrition is often very extreme. I thought I don't care if I get cancer. Though, my dentist gave me the feedback that my dental enamle doesn't look good. But she told me it has to do with my grinding. Since she highly recommended me to take the night guard (at night). But I cannot sleep with it properly and my sleep is extremely important for my mental stability. I try now to adapt the factors I am able to change. And I am in the midst to quitting softdrinks once again and I brush my teeth twice a day. I never had tooth decay within the last years (brushing it once a day) but I hope for more fluoride.
I am recently rumating a lot about my dental health. Maybe it is only one hyperfocus. And maybe the topic will change in the future. When I didn't take antipsychotics I also neglected my dental hygiene but that's almost a decade ago.

I have insecurities about my teeth and I blamed myself for not wearing the dental brace when I was a teenager. But now with the night guard it makes clear to me. Sleeping with it properly is impossible. If I had a fixed braces as teenager I think I might developed a psychosis way earlier. And this would have been really bad. I don't think my teeth look that horrible. My friends and chatGPT emphasize that. There was a time as a teenager where I thought my teeth were the reason I never had a girlfriend. But I think this was bullshit. As an adult I imagined though many times to take a huge part of my savings and invest it in fixed braces. However, with the night guard is becomes increasingly clear. My sleep is way way too sensitive for that. I think I also experienced wearing the braclet extremely intense as teenager unable to focus on anything else. I am glad I don't wasted my money on something that would not have worked out (as an adult). I would have been so fucking pissed.....

One could also argument that chatGPT makes my rumination and hypervigilance worse by thinking more about my health. Sometimes it is worse because I cannot change the otucome anyway. There are so many scary stories about antipsychotics. The life expectency is way lower taking them. (which I don't mind.) But many nasty conditions are also more likely. But it could have to do with the obesity that comes along with many antipsychotics. I am very thin. I was bullied for being really obese as teenager and it really traumatized me. I would feel extremely uncomfortable being obese again. There is an issue with my medication it can increase the QT interval of my heart beat. Usually this must be checked every half a year. We didn't check that since two years. We only check this when I am in the clinic. Thus far there never were problems concerning that. Though, when the QT interval of my heart beat increases it is game over for me. I had to change my medication completely. And it took extremely long time to find the right combination of medication. I take 4 different medication per day. Sometimes up to 6 when emergency medication counts. Which also could destroy my liver (I think): An autistic friend told me that. Eventually after so many years I found medication where I really have no side effects. And I also emphasize no sexual side effects which bothered me in the past. I made some threads how I got rid of them. I take one of the few antipsychotics which doesn't have the side effect weight gain. And I am so fucking glad I don't have this side effect. My self-loathing would reach new highs if I gained weight again. Currently I hate myself for who I am but not for my body. And that's at least something. Though, when the QT interval changes damn I will have a problem. So I don't want to find it out. Lol. I wish I could kill me then. But I also don't want to ruin my health so that it forces me to kill myself. And I think a suicide attempt can also make one's health much worse. I think SN can damage one's heart (or the antidote of it) take this with a grain of salt.
Something I am scared about. I only want to kill myself I my situation is extremely hopeless and i still have something to lose the health of my mom. I am not sure sure how long she will continue to live though.

Writing about all of that is scary. And maybe it shows that chatGPT can make my rumination worse. There was a time I was extremely upset about tardive dyskinesia because I showed minor symptoms of it in 2022. The symptoms went away though. Maybe because I stopped taking a medication that unmasked it. Reading about this phenomenon is so scary. But I also think I won't reach that age. And honestly with all the medication I take and with all the conditions I have I think my life expentency is decreased by a fair amount. Today I read an article that stress management is decisive for dental health. And I thought well....then I am fucked and worrying about my teeth is unnecessary because the siuation is hopeless. I don't think black and white thinking is helpful though.

And these are only the things I worry about. I literally never exercise. Something that could haunt me. But I think once you have as serious mental health problems as me it is unavoidable other physical/somatic problems will come along. It doesn't mean you shouldn't care about it. I still struggle to differentiate between priorities. I think this was a lot of rambling. Do with it whatever you want. Peace.

There are so many things that can go wrong with our health, it's one of the reasons why I despise existence. I didn't choose to be born but now I have to deal with the consequences and expend so much energy and effort just trying to stave off decay, which will come for me in the end anyway. I like what Jean Améry said about life, that it's like building a house that you know will be demolished at the roofing ceremony. Seeking health basically just consists of minimizing suffering.

Bit of a tangent sorry. Keep brushing twice a day, I think that's the most important thing for teeth. If you're drinking a lot of soft drinks maybe you can buy a high fluoride toothpaste? Not sure if they sell those in pharmacies in Germany but that's what my dentist recommended to me when I was bulimic and vomiting a lot.

I will quit softdrinks and will keep brushing them twice a day. And yes chatGPT recommended me a high fluoride toothpaste. (But already used one as I found out...)
