Discussion (Poll) How many of you have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)?

I am curious as to how many members of this forum have ASD. If there's already a thread with this poll let me know but I wasn't able to find one. We are 1% of the population, but I wonder if that is proportional to the population of this forum.

Now I'm curious as to how many people with ASD have ADHD / other similar thing. Psychologists were always surprised when I told them I did not have a learning disability, just Asperger's.

Yes I do, and in my case I certainly don't see myself as meant to exist in this cruel and dreadful world, not that I'd ever want to exist here anyway.

Yep, was diagnosed at age 8, but my mother didn't tell me until about age 11. Something about how she didn't want me to "use my autism as an excuse to not put in effort for things."

To be fair, she was pretty ignorant about autism when I was diagnosed and she's gotten better since then. Still not perfect, but she's gotten better. I can't blame her for being ignorant, as she's both an immigrant from a country where the concept of autism doesn't really exist, plus she's from a different time.

I didn't have a learning disability either, I was like considered gifted lol.
