There's one I listen to called
Suicide Noted. It's hosted by an American guy named Sean who interviews survivors of suicide attempts. That's all it is. There's no preaching or platitudes about hotlines. He just speaks with survivors over zoom, lets them tell the story of their attempt (or attempts) and enquires about what lead up to it, what happened after, how the people in their lives reacted to it etc. You hear from many people on the podcast the difficulty they have had in finding people in their lives they can share these memories and experiences with so there's usually a catharsis that comes with being able to let it all out.
The host has had his own experiences of suffering suicidal thoughts and lost people to suicide so you get the impression he knows what it's like to live in that headspace. It's about promoting people being able to have open and honest conversations about suicide, about feeling suicidal and living in the wake of a suicide attempt.
I like it because it's a reminder that many other people feel this way. It's one of the very few things that has made me feel less alone in my thoughts. There are such a wide variety of guests: men, women, young, old. No two guests are the same and some are on the path to recovery while others expect they won't see their next birthday. You don't have to resonate with them all but there are some very insightful people sharing a piece of themselves. I've found it useful and you might as well.
