I'm getting everything finalized. I've isolated myself quite a bit for a while now so likely I could be dead for weeks before anyone would know. I don't want my cat to starve to death after I'm gone. I was thinking of two options and I don't know if there are any other ideas.

I can schedule an appointment with my cat sitter after I'm gone, she uses the key to unlock the door. I can leave a note to call a relative to take the cat. If she has to reschedule she wouldn't be able to get in contact with me obviously and this could be a problem.

I go to a hotel and CTB there and leave a note and the hotel finds me the next day.

Or…?

I feel bad to involve other people but I don't know what to do about my cat. I'm open to other suggestions that would only involve the police and what not finding me later but I have no idea what else I can do.

What about finding her a new home and giving her away before you die?

I moved so many times and I don't have records of their shots. He's also really old I'm not sure if I could adopt him out and they might put him to sleep at the shelter. I'd have to put an ad out maybe and give him to a stranger but that also worries me.

Honestly if you're so worried about your cat I wouldn't do it but if you figure something out best of luck

if your cat is so old you can wait until the cat passes happily with you, moving could cause so much stress for an old cat.

I'm hoping one of my relatives will take him it's a matter of the timeline for someone to find me as I live alone and no one ever comes to visit me.
